SECTION I: Job Summary <br><br>The QC Inspector - Coating performs inspection and testing of surface preparation and protective coating/painting activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.<br><br>SECTION II: Job Analysis <br><br>Duties & Responsibilities<br><br> Perform in-process and final inspections on surface preparation and coating/painting works Verify surface preparation (blasting profile, cleanliness) against specifications (e.g., SSPC/NACE standards) Witness coating application, DFT/WFT checks, holiday testing, and adhesion tests per the ITP Verify environmental conditions (humidity, dew point, temperature) prior to coating application Verify materials and batch certificates against approved coating specifications Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment (gauges, holiday detectors) used on site Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for coating works Support preparation of quality documentation for coating handover dossiers<br><br>Requirements<br><br>SECTION III: Performance Indicators<br><br>Evaluated Based on<br><br> Inspection accuracy and completeness Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances First-time inspection pass rate on assigned work fronts Adherence to inspection schedules/hold points Quality of inspection documentation<br><br>SECTION IV: Required Skills & Abilities <br><br>Core Competencies<br><br>Attention to Detail Integrity Analytical Thinking Communication Skills Time Management<br><br>Technical Skills<br><br> Coating/Painting Inspection Techniques Surface Preparation Standards (SSPC/NACE) DFT/WFT, Holiday & Adhesion Testing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Measuring & Testing Equipment Use QC Documentation & Reporting<br><br>SECTION V: Required Experience and Education <br><br>Experience<br><br> 5-8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on coating/painting application projects<br><br>Education<br><br> Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering NACE/coating inspection certification (e.g., NACE Level II) preferred
