Over 100,000 merchants run their businesses on Salla, and every one of them moves through a journey: discovering us, onboarding, publishing a first product, making a first sale, growing or stalling. This role owns that journey end to end, strategy and execution in one person. It is the rare lifecycle seat where you inherit the raw material most lifecycle marketers spend years wishing for: tens of thousands of merchants, rich behavioral data from signup to sale, direct channels into every one of them, and a mandate to build the system your way rather than optimize someone else's. You will own the stages, cohorts, and triggers that define the merchant journey, and the campaigns across email, WhatsApp, push, and in-app that move merchants from one stage to the next. The mandate is clear: turn merchant data into personalized, high-converting journeys that activate, retain, and grow every store on the platform. You will drive impact across three major domains: Lifecycle Strategy and Architecture (stage definitions, segmentation, behavioral triggers, the consolidated journey map) Hands-On Execution and Experimentation (campaigns you build and ship yourself in the tooling, disciplined testing, outcomes tied to activation, retention, and customer lifetime value) AI-Forward Personalization at Scale (AI-assisted content and workflow systems that keep the operation lean)

Responsibilities:

Design and own the full merchant lifecycle: acquisition, onboarding, activation, growth, retention, win-back.

Define segmentation, build cohorts, and set the behavioral triggers that move merchants forward and reduce drop-off.

Build and ship campaigns hands-on across email, WhatsApp, push, and in-app.

Run a rigorous experimentation roadmap: controlled tests, holdout groups, and success metrics tied to activation, retention, and customer lifetime value, not vanity opens and clicks.

Design dynamic, personalized content and connect it across tools and data sources so the right message reaches the right merchant at the right moment.

Scale content and personalization through AI-assisted workflows with low operational dependency.

Keep the whole system consolidated, coherent, and continuously optimized: you own the journey map, not just campaigns.

Report stage-conversion and retention outcomes with a live experimentation backlog behind them.

Desired Candidate Profile

Proven experience owning a customer or merchant lifecycle end to end, strategy and execution, with tangible results you can point to. Deep fluency in lifecycle concepts: segmentation, cohorting, stage design, triggers, retention, churn, customer lifetime value. Hands-on campaign execution in a major lifecycle or customer-relationship platform (Intercom, Braze, or similar), technical enough to own triggers, flows, dynamic content, and API-based data connections without engineering support. A demonstrated experimentation mindset: you test, measure, optimize, and have killed ideas based on data. Experience building dynamic content systems connecting multiple data sources into a single journey. Active AI usage in lifecycle work, with a point of view on where AI adds value and where it doesn't. Experience at or closely with a software-as-a-service company, ideally in the Middle East; genuine empathy for merchants and small businesses. Full working proficiency in Arabic and English: this role writes, reviews, and ships Arabic campaign copy that reads native, not translated.
