Warehouse / Inventory Accountant, Fresh Produce. Company: Francaise Food Co. Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (on site, warehouse based) Type: Full time Reports to: Managing Director.
About us Francaise Food Co. has imported and distributed premium fresh fruit and vegetables in Saudi Arabia since 1985. We air freight from Peru, South Africa, the Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and the USA, and we supply the country's leading retail chains and hotel groups. Our inventory turns every two to four days. Nothing sits still, and nothing forgives a late number.
The role This is not a back office accounting job. You will sit between the warehouse floor and the ledger, and you will own one thing completely: the accuracy of our stock, in both quantity and value, from the moment a pallet is unloaded to the moment it appears in the financial statements.
In a business with 260+ SKUs, five stock locations, full lot traceability and a two to four day shelf life, a cost that is wrong by a decimal place becomes a six figure error in the P&L within a week. We are looking for the person who catches it before it happens.
What you will do? Reconcile physical stock to system balances daily across five warehouse and van locations, and investigate every variance to root cause. Run the three way match between purchase order, goods receipt note and supplier invoice, with particular attention to foreign currency conversion and to unit of measure (price per box against quantity in kilos is the single most common source of error in this industry). Own product cost accuracy: set and maintain standard cost from the most recent actual purchase invoice, and control who is permitted to change it. Allocate landed costs (air freight, customs duty, clearance fees, import permits, loading and handling) onto shipments and down to SKU level, so that product margin reflects true cost and not just the supplier invoice. Plan and lead cycle counts and full physical counts: blind count sheets, two person teams, mandatory recount on any line above 5% or 500 SAR variance, signed and timed documentation. Account for spoilage, damage and repacking loss correctly and separately from count variances, and publish a weekly waste report by product and by branch. Monitor lot ageing, FIFO discipline and expiry exposure, and flag slow moving stock to procurement before it becomes a write-off. Clear negative stock lines, open transfers and unvalidated deliveries, and enforce month end cut-off across all locations. Reconcile the inventory control account in the general ledger to the stock valuation report every month, and prepare the stock closing entry. Document supplier quality claims with the receiving team and independent surveyors, and track claim recovery. Support month end close with cost of goods sold, gross margin by product, and shrinkage analysis Write and enforce the SOPs for receiving, scrapping and stock adjustment, and train warehouse staff to follow them.
What we are looking for. Required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.3 to 5 years in inventory, cost or warehouse accounting. Genuine comfort working inside a cold store and on the receiving dock, including early mornings when shipments land. Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, large reconciliations). Working knowledge of Saudi VAT and ZATCA e-invoicing requirements. Professional Arabic and English, written and spoken. The temperament to say clearly that a number is wrong, and to hold that position.
Strongly preferred:
Experience in food, fresh produce, dairy, meat or chilled FMCG distribution, where shrinkage, weight loss, repacking and short shelf life are daily realities rather than exceptions. Hands-on experience with Odoo, particularly Inventory and Accounting (not a requirement; strong .experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP is equally welcome). Familiarity with lot and batch traceability, barcode scanning and warehouse mobile applications. Exposure to landed cost allocation and import documentation. SOCPA membership or progress toward a professional qualification. SQL or Power BI / Looker Studio capability for building your own reports. What success looks like in the first 90 days. The inventory control account agrees to the stock valuation report, and the difference is explained line by line. Zero negative stock balances across all locations. Every SKU in the top 25 by value carries a cost you can trace to a specific supplier invoice. A weekly waste and shrinkage number that management trusts and acts on. A written, signed receiving and adjustment procedure that the warehouse actually follows. Why join us? You are inheriting a real problem with a clear mandate to fix it, in a 40 year old company that has just implemented a modern ERP and is rebuilding its financial controls from the ground up. The Managing Director sponsors this work directly. If you want a role where the quality of your reconciliation visibly changes the company's reported margin, this is that role.
To apply: send your CV to hr@francaisefood.com with the subject line "Warehouse Accountant, Jeddah". Applications from candidates currently in Saudi Arabia with transferable iqama will be prioritized.

Overview

We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to become the design function for our Generative AI team. We build AI products for web and mobile, and we build them quickly, with AI assistance in the loop. Today the engineers writing the code are also making the design decisions. That keeps us moving, and it shows: every project reinvents the same screen, and nothing looks like it came from the same company.

This role has two halves.

The first is the design work itself: the flows, the screens, the states, and the visual and interaction decisions across products that are shipping now. The second is the part most design roles stop short of, and it is why this role exists. You will turn your own design work into a design system, tokens, components, and patterns, and hand it to engineering in a form they build from directly.

A folder of mockups does not scale to several products and a team that ships daily with AI assistance. A system does. You will not be asked to be a front-end engineer, but you are expected to take your design all the way to the artifacts engineering builds from, and to use AI tooling to help you get there. The measure of success is how much good design work happens without you in the room, not how much passes through you.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

The role spans four areas, and you will move between them continuously:2. Design System and Handoff to Engineering3. Designing for Generative AI Products4. Enablement and Adoption

Product Design Across Web and Mobile Design user flows, screens, states, and interactions for Generative AI products that are actively shipping to internal and external users Design the whole experience rather than the happy path: empty, loading, error, and edge cases, first run and hundredth Establish the visual language for the team's products and hold the line on it: typography, color, spacing, layout, iconography, and motion Prototype where it helps a decision get made faster than a discussion would Find the patterns across the screens you have designed, and decide what earns its place as a token, a component, or a documented pattern, and what stays a deliberate one-off Build and maintain the system in Figma to a standard other people can build from: variables, component properties, auto layout, and libraries Hand the system to engineering in a form they use directly: exported design tokens, the CSS or theme configuration generated from them, and written usage rules with examples Keep the system current as the products change. Version it, say what changed, and retire what nobody uses Design the patterns AI products need and most design systems do not cover: chat and conversational surfaces, streaming output, visible agent steps and tool calls, citations and sources, and human review and approval Design for uncertainty: latency, partial answers, model error, and the affordances that let someone correct or stop an agent Use AI tooling throughout your own work, in Figma, in Claude Design, and in the handoff layer, to get from a design decision to a usable artifact quickly Package the system so AI-assisted work follows it by default, as repository-level rules and skills that coding agents load, so a generated screen starts inside the system rather than beside it Work alongside the engineers as the system is adopted. Review what shipped against what was designed, and fix the system where the system was at fault Keep the whole thing non-blocking. Nobody should wait on you to build a screen

Requirements

We care more about how you think and what you have built than about a checklist.

Experience: Eight or more years in UI/UX or product design, with real ownership of the design decisions rather than execution against someone else's direction Craft and Judgment: Strong visual and interaction design. Your work holds up when someone looks closely, and you can explain a decision in terms of what it does for the person using the product rather than in terms of taste Systems Thinking: Experience turning design work into something reusable: tokens, components, patterns, or a documented library that other people built from Web and Mobile: Comfortable designing for both, and clear about where a shared system stops and platform convention takes over Figma: Strong Figma skills, including variables, component properties, auto layout, and libraries Handoff: Comfortable producing what engineering builds from, and willing to work into the token and CSS layer. You do not need to be a front-end engineer, and AI tooling can help you close the gap Working with AI: You use AI tools deliberately in your own work and can say where they helped and where you overrode them. This is how the team builds, so it matters Portfolio: Work you can walk us through and talk about. Confidential or unlaunched work is completely fine, and a walkthrough works as well as a link

Strong Assets

None of these are required, and their absence will not count against a strong candidate:

Experience designing for AI or agentic products Familiarity with design token pipelines such as Style Dictionary or the W3C design tokens format Front-end ability beyond the token layer, for example building components yourself Accessibility practice: keyboard and focus behavior, and screen reader semantics built into components Right-to-left and bilingual interfaces, particularly Arabic and English Motion and interaction design, dense or data-heavy interfaces, or data visualization Usability testing or research to validate design decisions

Why This Role?

Own the Design Function: You are not one designer among many. You set the visual and experience direction for the team's products, and you decide what the system is Unusual Leverage: Your design decisions do not stop at one screen. Once they become tokens and components, they shape every product the team ships, including the work generated with AI assistance Work at the Front of AI Product Design: You will design interaction patterns for agentic products that most design systems have no answer for yet, and work with AI tooling as a daily part of the craft rather than an experiment Close to the Build: You will sit with the engineers building your designs, see what shipped, and change the system when the system was wrong
