Job Description / Responsibility JOB PURPOSEInstall repair and fabricate:Carry out ship paneling, flooring, ceiling, repairing of cupboards and doors. Bonded, Hinged and Fixed windows, Non-WT Doors. Installation of Insulation pins, insulation Installation of deck underlays and PVC / Carpet flooring. Assisting the Foreman for berth preparation of ship in dock and on dry berth area and floating docks. Operating of machines in connection with carpentry work. Requisition for materials for repairs. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESDay-to-Day Operations Ensuring that all works are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with the divisions Quality Assurance procedures and Quality Manuals. Housekeeping & Safety – Ensure the workplace and worksite are kept clean and tidy, during and after completion of work. Customer premises/facilities are always to be treated with respect and kept clean Ensure all operations/work are carried out in a safe manner; ensure workers wear the correct PPEReporting Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements or reports to meet section or department’s requirements, policies and quality standards. Health & Safety Maintain an awareness of all health and safety rules applying to the assigned tasks and tools to ensure that safe working practices are observed. Use of Tools & Equipment Maintain competence in the use of all tools or equipment required for the assigned works. JOB CONTEXTAdequate knowledge on this job is critical to ensure safety and proper execution of works.
