This role involves reviewing & analyzing design reports & drawings, calculations and providing professional technical solutions & proposals.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br><ul><li>Review and validate structural and infrastructure designs, including calculations, models, drawings, shop drawings, and technical reports to ensure safety, durability, and compliance.</li><li>Assess structural analysis outputs using engineering software such as SAP2000, SAFE, and ETABS.</li><li>Review and approve material mix designs for concrete, asphalt, and other structural and infrastructure materials.</li><li>Evaluate material testing reports for concrete, reinforcement steel, structural steel, asphalt, and backfill materials to verify quality and compliance.</li><li>Review geotechnical and soil investigation reports to support design validation and construction decisions.</li><li>Provide technical support and problem-solving, including responding to contractor queries and evaluating structural modifications for site conditions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and local/international codes and regulations.</li><li>Lead technical coordination meetings with contractors and stakeholders to resolve engineering issues and review submissions.</li><li>Coordinate and mentor engineering teams, fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary disciplines and guiding junior staff.</li><li>Manage stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution, communicating technical requirements effectively and delivering practical engineering solutions.<br><br><br></li></ul>Here's what you'll need<br><br><ul><li>Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering projects</li><li>Technical Skills Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes & standards. Working closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders, you will ensure MEP systems are successfully installed, tested, commissioned, documented, and handed over in accordance with project requirements. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Team, and Contractors, you will be responsible for the measurement, valuation, payment assessment, variation management, claims support, and final account settlement of completed works. This site-based role plays a key part in ensuring the project is commercially reconciled, contractually compliant, and successfully transitioned through handover and close out.<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br><ul><li>Review, measure, and verify completed works for interim and final valuations</li><li>Assess contractor payment applications and prepare recommendations in accordance with contract requirements</li><li>Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, variations, and commercial correspondence</li><li>Support the preparation, negotiation, and agreement of final accounts with contractors and subcontractors</li><li>Review and evaluate variations, compensation events, and scope changes</li><li>Assist with the assessment and resolution of claims, commercial disputes, and contractual matters.</li><li>Monitor project costs, commitments, and expenditure against approved budgets</li><li>Prepare and support monthly commercial reports, forecasts, and cost reconciliations</li><li>Coordinate with engineering, construction, project controls, and client teams to ensure timely commercial close out</li><li>Support project handover activities by ensuring all commercial obligations and contractual deliverables are completed.<br><br><br></li></ul>Here's what you'll need<br><br><ul><li>Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Cost Management within infrastructure, utilities, civil engineering, or construction projects</li><li>Technical Strong understanding of measurement, valuation, payment certification, variations, final accounts, claims assessment, cost reporting, and contract administration</li><li>Contractual Working knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts and commercial documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and change control processes</li><li>Digital Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying/commercial management software. The role is responsible and accountable for the operation of utility assets, including power plants, transmission lines, distribution systems, substations, DERs, and BESS. The position directs electric system operations engineering by monitoring, planning, analyzing, directing, and executing 24/7 grid operations to maintain safe and reliable electric service and prevent power outages. The successful candidate will support the NGHC Technical Services Lead in implementing all security obligations under the NGHC Site Access Control Procedure. The role includes reviewing government documentation, issuing access credentials, monitoring expiration dates, and revoking access when required.<br>Key Responsibilities Issue all types of NGHC identity cards.
