The role independently verifies isolation documentation, enforces LOTO and PTW compliance, and supports the PTW Control Room by managing permit activation, suspension, or closure where safety requirements are not met, while facilitating safe isolation and de-isolation in accordance with IMI procedures. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Coordinate PTW activation, suspension, and closure for all mechanically related work in accordance with PTW Procedure.   • Verify that mechanical isolation certificates, isolation lists, spading/blinding records, and LOTO tags are complete and valid before activating any mechanical‑related permit.   • Liaise with Mechanical Isolation Authorities (MIA) to confirm that isolations and de‑isolations are performed safely and documented properly.   • Ensure correct use of mechanical LOTO devices such as blinds, spades, spool removals, valve locks, and tagging systems in accordance with LOTO Procedure.   • Monitor SIMOPS involving mechanical systems and identify conflicts between isolation activities, pressure systems, stored energy, and other high‑risk operations.   • Maintain accurate tracking of all mechanical isolations, long‑term isolations, and associated certificates within the PTW Control Room. • Conduct routine field checks to verify that mechanical isolation points, tags, and PTW postings match the approved documentation. • Communicate with Performing Authorities (PA) and Issuing Authorities (IA) to coordinate safe execution of mechanical work, place permits on hold where required controls are not met and escalate unresolved conflicts through the PTW governance line. • Participate in daily PTW coordination meetings and provide updates on mechanical isolation status, conflicts, and operational constraints. • Ensure adherence to IMI working hour requirements, follow assigned schedules, maintain an appropriate balance of working hours between field duties and the PTW Control Room, and carry out any additional HSE‑related tasks assigned by the direct supervisor to support operational safety. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education • Diploma in mechanical engineering, Safety, or related technical field (preferred). <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE To plan, coordinate, and lead the execution of mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for offshore jack-up rig systems including drilling, marine, jacking, power, and utility systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications, class requirements (ABS/DNV), regulatory standards, and safety procedures, to achieve safe, efficient, and timely delivery of a fully tested, certified, and operational rig ready for client acceptance and offshore deployment. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Commissioning Planning & Execution   • Develop detailed commissioning procedures, test packs, checklists, and execution plans for all mechanical and marine systems.   • Review offshore rig mechanical designs, P&IDs, general arrangements (GA), system boundaries, and vendor documentation.   • Lead MC and commissioning phases from pre-commissioning through functional testing and final acceptance.   • Organize and execute FAT, HAT, and SAT for mechanical and drilling equipment.   • Ensure all activities comply with class certification and regulatory requirements (ABS/DNV/SOLAS/API).   2. Offshore Mechanical Systems Commissioning Lead commissioning for the following jack-up rig systems:  A. Drilling Package   • Commission and verify operation of drilling equipment including Drawworks, top drive, rotary table, drives.  Derrick.   • Execute testing and commissioning of Mud pumps, mud mixing, and mud handling systems.   • Oversee commissioning of solids control equipment including Shale shakers, mud-gas separator, degasser, centrifuges.   • Validate installation and functionality of BOP handling & well-control mechanical equipment.   • Test and certify Choke & kill manifold mechanical components.   B. Marine & Jacking Systems   • Lead commissioning of Jacking units, rack-and-pinion systems, lubrication, and brake systems.  • Supervise commissioning of Leg handling, preload, and skidding systems. • Commission Ballast, bilge, and seawater cooling systems. • Verify operation of Fire main, sprinkler pumps, and deluge mechanical systems. • Oversee commissioning of HVAC mechanical components. Power & Utility Systems • Commission Diesel engines, generators, and mechanical auxiliaries. • Execute commissioning of Air compressors, dryers, and pneumatic systems. • Validate performance of Fuel oil, lube oil, cooling water, and freshwater systems. • Lead testing and commissioning of Cranes, winches, and deck machinery. • Verify mechanical integrity of emergency and safety systems 3. Interface Management & Coordination • Act as the key interface between construction, engineering, electrical, instrumentation, marine, and drilling disciplines. • Coordinate activities with OEM vendor representatives during installation, testing, and troubleshooting. • Participate in commissioning meetings, progress reporting, and HSE briefings. • Support integration testing between marine, drilling, and jacking systems. 4. Safety, Regulatory & Class Compliance • Implement offshore safety standards (PTW, JSA, SIMOPS, LOTO). • Ensure all commissioning activities follow class rules (ABS, DNV) and international standards (API, IMO, SOLAS). • Lead punch list creation, categorization, and closure for mechanical systems. • Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and system readiness reviews. Ensure documentation aligns with project turnover requirements and offshore audit expectations. 5. Troubleshooting & Technical Support • Resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and rotating equipment issues during commissioning. • Identify design or installation deviations and propose corrective actions. • Support performance testing and initial rig startup offshore or at shipyard. • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and commissioning technicians. 6. Handover & Completion • Ensure all MC and commissioning documentation is complete and accurate. • Prepare turnover dossiers for mechanical systems (ITRs, test reports, redlines).   • Support final acceptance tests and assist the rig crew during start-up and first well operations.   • Deliver a fully commissioned jack-up rig ready for offshore deployment. <h2 class="h5">Job description</h2> <div class="t-break" data-jb-field="description"> JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE Overall responsible for Piping systems for CRPO Projects. To coordinate and supervise fabrication, installation and testing of Piping systems. Monitors production while ensuring that efficiency, quality control and all other standards are always met. To oversee construction activities on work sites, assess project progress and to ensure projects are completed safely, on time. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Manage the construction day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and performance in accordance to project specification and budget.   • Familiar with Isometric drawings, General Arrangement and P&IDs   • Supervise and monitor the progress of piping system fabrication and construction activities to ensure systems are properly constructed to the approved design and specifications.   • Plan and establish work schedules and production sequence to meet project goals.   • To monitor and inspect Piping activities from fabrication of spools to completion of systems. To conduct line check, hydrotest and re-instatement followed by MC prior to handing over for Commissioning.   • To establish manpower as per project schedule requirements and to plan for all equipment and facilities required to execute works.   • Track Piping construction progress with highlighting of potential problems and recommend solutions.   • Work with all stakeholders to ensure piping systems are properly integrated with all other systems onboard.   • Bridge and review the Piping schematic drawings from theoretical to site construction.   • To prepare MTO (material take-off list) based on Piping drawings.   • Have weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements of  work completion, and other issues as may be required including but not limited to manpower requirements, interference coordination, inspections, and sequence of work. Distribute three-week  look ahead schedules and communicate schedule requirements with all subcontractors.   • Maintain a high-level control around cost of all construction consumables and equipment utilised  during the construction works.   • Possess strong initiative around decision making and ability to conceptualize plans and technical  solutions to deal with a wide array of standard and innovative construction issues.   • Liaise with and provide support to the project subcontractors to ensure that all contract obligations are  met.   • Should possess strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building  job certification requirements and ensure the same is communicated to the project team on a regular  basis. • Identify the work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze the work problems in writing with own  problem- solving mentality, accurate supervision, decision-maker with a strong convincing personality,  full readiness with 'Plan B' for any unexpected issues.   • Fully responsible for delivery of all Inspection Test Records (ITR’s) under the relevant discipline by  effectively delegating to the foreman and chargehands. This must be approached with a high focus on  interfacing and coordination with all other discipline supervision to remove all blocks from achieving  target dates.    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education • Technical Engineering Qualification.
