Job Purpose:The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for managing and reviewing general ledger accounts and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and validity of accounting entries. The role includes performing required reconciliations, managing accruals and prepayments, preparing correcting and reclassification entries, and supporting the monthly and annual financial closing processes. The position aims to ensure the integrity of account balances and the proper recording of transactions in the correct accounting period, account, project, and cost center, as well as preparing the accounting data required for financial reporting and internal and external audits. Key Responsibilities:1. General Ledger Management and Review Review and record accounting journal entries within the assigned area of responsibility and ensure their accuracy, completeness, and supporting documentation. Verify the accuracy of accounts, accounting periods, projects, cost centers, and accounting classifications. Prepare correcting entries, reclassification entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation entries, and other required journal entries as needed. Review unusual, abnormal, or unexplained balances and coordinate with the relevant parties to resolve them. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger account balances.2.
