About The Role

Over 100,000 merchants run their businesses on Salla, and every order they win ends the same way: something physical has to reach a customer. Shipping is where the platform stops being software.

This role owns the shipping stack end to end and the economics underneath it: courier integrations, routing, cash-on-delivery reconciliation, exceptions, and partner performance, plus how far past last-mile delivery we go into inventory placement, warehousing, pick and pack, first-mile pickup, and returns. You lead a dedicated engineering squad as its one accountable product owner, and you own what a shipment costs and what the platform keeps on it. Few product roles let you own a merchant experience and its unit economics at the same time. This one does.

You will drive impact across four major domains:

Shipping Products (routing, label issuance, cash on delivery, tracking, driver-facing tools) Partner Integrations (provider onboarding, interface quality, status mapping, reconciliation, platform stability) Fulfillment Beyond Last Mile (inventory placement, warehousing and third-party orchestration, pick and pack, first-mile pickup, returns) Shipping Economics (carrier mix, rate card design, cost per successful delivery, what the platform charges and what it keeps)

Responsibilities:

Own the strategy and roadmap for shipping and fulfillment, prioritized on merchant retention and contribution per shipment, not feature count Decide how each order is routed and priced: which provider carries it, at what service level, at what cost, and what the merchant pays Raise delivery reliability where it is measurable: first-attempt success, service-level accuracy, exception rate, return to origin, and cash-on-delivery reconciliation Build the integration layer that makes onboarding a new provider fast and keeps it stable once live: status mapping, retries, fallbacks, monitoring Extend the product past last-mile delivery, choosing capabilities on merchant retention impact rather than on integration ease Decide which shipping capability is free and which is paid, and defend where the line sits Own the metrics with the data team, and move volume between providers when the performance data says to

Requirements

Proven ownership of a shipping, fulfillment, or order-management product on a platform serving many businesses at once, with the numbers you moved: delivery success rate, service-level accuracy, exception rate, cash-on-delivery accuracy, or cost per shipment Commercial fluency in shipment economics: you have built, priced, or renegotiated a rate card, and can explain how zone, weight, service level, cash on delivery, surcharges, and failed deliveries move cost per parcel Depth past last-mile delivery in at least two of: inventory placement, warehousing or third-party fulfillment orchestration, pick and pack, first-mile pickup, reverse logistics, cross-border Technical grounding in integrations: interfaces, webhooks, status mapping, retries, reconciliation. You can explain how a courier integration actually breaks and what made yours stable long term Experience as the single product owner for a dedicated engineering squad, working across operations, commercial, and support rather than around them Strongly preferred: you have built product on top of a partner network, where the company sold partner capacity and built its own capability alongside it Seven or more years in product management. Full professional fluency in Arabic and English is required, and GCC logistics context is preferred over theoretical knowledge. Willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia

Our clients We are working on multiple mandates for clients in the agri‑commodity space. They already have strong brand recognition, ample capacity, and significant financial resources. What This Role Will Drive What they now need from the incumbent is the commercial intelligence, execution capability, and go‑to‑market strategy to translate these assets into contracted revenue at scale and pull ahead in a fiercely competitive market. The Saudi flour sector is going through its most significant transformation in decades. In this environment, the ability to proactively originate, structure, and win B2B commercial relationships is the primary source of sustainable competitive advantage.1. Strategic B2B build‑out Design and execute a full B2B customer mapping and tiering exercise across industrial bakeries, food manufacturers, QSR, HORECA, and distributors. Build a key account acquisition strategy that moves the business from reactive, legacy coverage to proactive, partnership‑based relationships. Establish a market intelligence framework to track competitor moves, pricing, and customer dynamics and turn that into clear commercial actions.2. Marketing and positioning Co‑design the marketing agenda with the commercial and marketing teams. Develop technical marketing collateral, application‑specific product positioning, and account‑based marketing programs that support the B2B sales motion and deepen share of wallet with target customers.3. Export market entry Lead the creation of a commercial blueprint for export into East Africa and the GCC, including target customer mapping, logistics routes, pricing architecture, and regulatory requirements. Ensure the business is ready to activate this plan once wheat procurement liberalization and export conditions are fully in place.4. Product and pricing strategy Own the go‑to‑market strategy for functional and specialty flours (whole wheat, gluten‑free, fortified), linking the R&D pipeline to both B2B and B2C demand signals. Develop a pricing strategy that optimizes margin mix across subsidized bulk, unsubsidized B2B, and premium B2C tiers.5. B2C premiumization Accelerate the shift toward consumer‑packaged flour as the high‑margin growth frontier, especially in pack sizes of 10 kg and below. Capitalize on the faster growth of whole wheat, gluten‑free, and functional/fortified flours by building brand equity and retail presence that captures a disproportionate share of this premium pool. Why a Commodities Background Is Essential This is not a classic FMCG or food marketing role. The ideal profile comes from commodities and agri‑food, because the value is created at the intersection of procurement economics, B2B contracting, and consumer behaviour. Procurement intelligence A commodities‑trained strategist can connect upstream procurement dynamics to downstream commercial strategy. B2B relationship architecture Commodity markets are fundamentally B2B. Experience in trading, milling inputs, or agri‑commodities builds the ability to structure long‑term supply relationships, frame value propositions around volume and service, and design pricing that locks in key accounts. Export market fluency East Africa and GCC flour flows are driven by benchmarks, freight economics, currency risk, and often sovereign or quasi‑sovereign buyers. This is familiar territory for someone who has grown up in commodity or agri‑trading environments. B2C translation What makes this hire rare is the combination: a commodities‑trained mind that also understands how commodity products are branded and sold to end consumers. The person must be able to bridge the gap between grain economics and on‑shelf brand and pack strategy.
About the role:
Acuative is hiring a Senior Data Privacy Consultant to be embedded within the Personal Data Protection (PDP) function of a leading research university in Saudi Arabia. You will act as a hands-on extension of the DPO's team, running the day-to-day privacy operations program and strengthening the organization's compliance posture under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and SDAIA regulations. This is an operational role, not an advisory-only role. You will facilitate workshops with business units, populate and validate compliance artifacts, run assessments, manage incidents, and coach internal privacy champions so the organization becomes self-sufficient over time.
What you will do:
Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) Identify business units and processing activities without RoPAs and build them through stakeholder workshops. Validate and update existing RoPAs with process owners, and secure sign-off from BU Heads and the DPO. Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) Develop or apply a process gating methodology to screen all processing activities and flag high-risk ones. Conduct DPIAs on high-risk activities, identify privacy risks and controls, assign risk and control owners, and obtain sign-off. Record all identified risks in the GRC platform and track them to closure. Third-Party Privacy Risk Management Identify data processors not yet subject to due diligence and build a High/Medium/Low risk tiering methodology. Assess high-risk processors, prescribe corrective actions and timelines, and coordinate with Procurement and the relevant BUs. Review vendor security controls in Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), perform transfer risk assessments, and embed required controls into DPAs and KSA Standard Contractual Clauses. Develop template security controls by contract type with Information Security, and update guidance for researchers on securing human subject research data. Data Breach Management Support the DPO on privacy incidents end to end: containment, root cause analysis, mitigation, and coordination with Cyber Incident Response, Legal, Communications, and HR. Support regulatory breach notifications and responses to SDAIA inquiries. Privacy Hub and Spoke Model Run workshops with BU Heads to appoint Privacy Champions across the organization. Define the Privacy Champion role (responsibilities, expectations) and secure management sign-off. Deliver 1-1 training to champions and manage a structured handover of privacy activities, with three months of SME support post-transition. Data Subject Rights (DSR) Handle DSR requests end to end: intake, register logging, validation, internal coordination, response, and closure. Identify and fix process bottlenecks in the DSR workflow. Data Minimization, Privacy Notices, and Retention Conduct data minimization reviews on intake forms, data sharing proposals, transfer risk assessments, and DPIAs. Review and update privacy notices based on RoPA and DPIA findings, changes in lawful basis, consent management, and legitimate interest procedures; draft new notices where needed. Review retention schedules against PDPL requirements and support process owners and technical stewards in setting compliant retention periods and technical SOPs for deletion. Privacy Training Develop and deliver specialized on-site privacy training for units and build online training modules. Ad-hoc Support Any other privacy tasks requested by the PDP function and the DPO.
What we are looking for:
Required:6+ years in data privacy, data protection, or GRC roles, with at least 2 years of hands-on operational privacy work (not purely policy or advisory). Deep working knowledge of the Saudi PDPL, its Implementing Regulations, the Data Transfer Regulations, and SDAIA guidance. Familiarity with GDPR is a strong plus. Proven experience building and maintaining RoPAs, conducting DPIAs, and running third-party privacy risk assessments. Experience managing personal data breaches, including regulatory notification. Experience handling Data Subject Rights requests and maintaining a DSR register. Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills across business, legal, IT, security, and procurement teams. Ability to draft clear compliance documentation: DPAs, SCCs, privacy notices, retention schedules, role definitions, and training material. Fluent English, written and spoken. Willingness to work on-site full-time in Thuwal, KSA.
Preferred:
CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent privacy certification. Experience with GRC platforms (e.g., Service Now GRC, One Trust, Archer) for risk logging and tracking. Background in higher education, research institutions, or other environments handling human subject research data. Arabic language proficiency. Experience with information security frameworks (ISO 27001, NCA ECC) and reviewing technical security controls in vendor contracts.

We're looking for an AI Engineer who gets excited about turning LLMs into reliable, scalable systems that real users depend on. If you've battled retry logic at 3am, debugged hallucinations in production, or celebrated when your RAG system finally hit 95% accuracy, we want to talk.

What You'll Do

You'll architect and deploy production-grade AI systems that solve real business problems. Think customer intelligence agents, automated sales workflows, and RAG systems that actually retrieve the right context. You'll work with modern frameworks like LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or Vertex AI Agent Builder to build systems that scale from hundreds to thousands of daily users. This isn't research, it's engineering. You'll own the full lifecycle: designing architectures, writing production code, implementing robust error handling, shipping to users, and monitoring what matters.

What You Bring

Required Technical Skills

AI Systems Engineering

Hands-on experience deploying at least one AI system to production (not just notebooks)

Proficiency with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AWS Agent Core, or similar)

Deep understanding of RAG architectures: embeddings, vector databases, retrieval strategies

Experience with prompt engineering as an engineering discipline versioned, tested, and iterated

Software Engineering Excellence

Production-quality Python with clean API design and proper error handling

Expertise in resilient systems: retry logic, exponential backoff, circuit breakers

Testing strategies for non-deterministic systems (yes, we test our prompts)

Async processing, queue management, and distributed systems patterns

Production Operations

Monitoring and observability for AI systems (beyond just "it works")

Cost optimization for LLM-powered applications at scale

Deployment pipelines and feature flagging for gradual rollouts

Security practices including prompt injection prevention and PII handling

What Great Looks Like

You've debugged why your RAG system retrieved irrelevant context and fixed the chunking strategy

You can explain the trade-offs between different vector databases for your use case

You've written tests that catch prompt regressions before they hit production

You think about AI systems in terms of latency, cost per query, and accuracy metrics

You've had production incidents and learned from them

What Makes You Stand Out

Built multi-agent systems with human-in-the-loop workflows

Integrated AI systems with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) or business tools

Experience with evaluation frameworks for measuring LLM output quality

Open source contributions to AI tooling or framework projects

War stories about scaling AI systems from 100 to 10,000+ queries/day

Why This Role

Real Impact: Your systems will process thousands of queries daily, driving actual business outcomes

Modern Stack: Work with cutting-edge AI frameworks and tools as they evolve

Ownership: Own systems end-to-end from architecture to monitoring

Learning Culture: Fast-moving AI landscape means constant learning and experimentation

Pragmatic Innovation: Balance moving fast with building reliable, maintainable systems

Not Your Typical AI Role

We're not looking for: Pure ML researchers optimizing model architectures, Data scientists building statistical models, Prompt engineers without software engineering depth.
