The successful candidate will be responsible for developing professional experience through participation in construction, engineering, and project development activities. The Trainee Civil Engineer will support senior engineers in reviewing drawings, site activities, technical documents, and project coordination while gaining practical knowledge of construction methodologies, Saudi Building Code (SBC), quality control procedures, and project .<br><br><br>Key Responsibilities:<br>Assist in reviewing civil, structural, and architectural drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and shop drawings under the supervision of senior engineers. Support site supervision activities, progress monitoring, inspections, documentation, and coordination with contractors and consultants. Participate in material inspections, QA/QC activities, site observations, snagging, and handover processes. Assist in preparing technical reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and project records. Support project teams in maintaining compliance with project requirements, approved drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.<br><br><br>Requirements:<br>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineer. Site Engineer | Major Projects | Riyadh, Saudi Arabia<br>KTS is supporting a leading Saudi Construction Contractor on major projects in Saudi Arabia and is looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in reinforced concrete and major building construction.<br>This is a site-based role suited to a Civil Engineer who is comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment and taking ownership of structural works from drawings through to execution.<br>Key Responsibilities Supervise daily site activities across reinforced concrete and structural works Coordinate formwork, reinforcement, concrete pours, foundations, columns, walls and slabs Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical specifications Coordinate subcontractors, foremen and site labour across multiple work fronts Monitor productivity and progress against programme requirements Coordinate with Construction Management, Engineering, Survey, QA/QC, HSE and Logistics teams Ensure works are completed to required quality, dimensional tolerances and inspection requirements Identify technical/site issues early and support practical solutions Coordinate concrete pours, access, materials, equipment and site logistics Maintain accurate site records, progress updates and inspection documentation Ensure strict compliance with project HSE and quality standards<br>Ideal Background Degree in Civil Engineering Proven Site Engineer experience with a main contractor Strong exposure to reinforced concrete / structural building works High-rise, major commercial building or giga-project experience highly desirable Good understanding of formwork, rebar, concrete sequencing and structural drawings Experience coordinating subcontractors and site teams Strong QA/QC and HSE awareness Ability to work effectively within a large, multidisciplinary project team<br>This is an opportunity to join a major international contractor delivering one of Saudi Arabia’s most significant construction programmes.
