POSITION SUMMARYThe Shift Supervisor oversees the control operations and the work performed by other control room positions. This role is responsible and accountable for the operation of all utility assets including; traditional Utility assets such as Power Plants, Transmission lines, Distribution, Substation, as well as non-utility behind the meter assets such as DERs and BESS. The Shift Supervisor directs electric system operations engineering by monitoring, planning, analysing, directing, and executing 24/7 grid operations. Directly responsible for managing Company generation and transmissionoperations functions to maintain safe and reliable electric service to prevent power outages. Monitors multiple switching and distribution operations centres showing operating conditions of lines and equipment throughout the system and adjusts or directs workers to make adjustments as conditions warrant.
