The Shift Operator will execute daily tasks which include preparing and implementing safety work permits, LOTO, complete operations preventative maintenance activities, and assist the maintenance and engineering teams in preparing and executing corrective maintenance activities.<br><br>NOTE: “ALL OPERATORS INTERVIEWED BASED ON YEARS OF SERVICE, EXPERIENCE, AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS WILL BE EVALUATED AND CONSIDERED FOR LEAD AND SUPERVISOR POSITIONS AFTER COMPLETION OF THE OPERATOR PROGRESSION COURSE. Demonstrate leadership with all company & industry safe work processes to prevent all injuries. Ensure proper documentation is maintained for safety related activities.<br><br>Technical<br><br>Operate the HYCO Steam Methane Reformer and CO2 recovery units and ancillary equipment including water treatment units as prescribed by the Work Instruction Procedures Operate the pipeline network to supply hydrogen, steam, and CO2 to the pipeline customers safely and efficiently. The Pipeline operations team will be part of the overall operating team and will also manage the oxygen and nitrogen pipeline products. Provide Operations support & guidance during the commissioning of the plant. Maintain accurate document control and monitor quality assurance initiatives. Provide Operations guidance to ensure safety, reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, and controls. Manage plant production efficiently based on input provided from Plant Management and Plant Production Engineering to ensure safety and reliability targets are met to achieve maximum profitable. Report shift production progress and plant status to the Shift Supervisor, providing operational solutions for shortfall areas.<br><br>Operations<br><br>Ensure the safety of all operations personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. The position facilitates executing, organizing, and auditing, to build the Air Products safety culture into the APQ. Ensure compliance with process safety, MOC’s, and OPHR requirements. Operate the facility insuring Environmental and Regulatory requirements are not exceeded. Assist in the commissioning activities of the facility Ensure Air Products and APQ standards, and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met Follow the Site Work Instruction Manuals for the HYCO, CO2, and ancillary equipment units, along with adhering to other operating and maintenance procedures and checklists to meet the customer’s satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility of product supply while in compliance of contractual requirements. Follow shift turnover protocols to ensure the safe and efficient handover to the following shift. Support & maintain close working relationships with engineering and maintenance personnel to continuously monitor & evaluate plant systems & equipment through a Plant Process Advisory Model. Support the maintenance and engineering team in maintaining plant reliability through the execution of preventive maintenance activities scheduled and coordinating of corrective maintenance activities of the equipment in order to optimize activities during plant shut-downs to avoid business interruption. Provide operations support and participate in investigations and Root Cause Analysis in order to identify & implement sustainable corrective actions. Facilitate attainment of operational excellence and customer satisfaction via operations productivity, reliability, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain customer communications and relationships at the ‘board’ level, insuring customer demand rates are satisfied while maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the facility. Communication of plant activities with other shifts to maintain continuity between shifts for a safe and reliable operation. Execute other duties as assigned from reporting managers in a timely and efficient manner.<br><br>Job Requirements<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations preferred. An Associate Technical Degree (2-year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence. Experience in process plant operation, demonstrated Hydrogen/SMR/acid gas removal units production plant knowledge a plus with a minimum of 5 years plant operations experience. Expectation based on level of experience for the operations team to achieve a ‘Level 1 / Board Level’ status within 2 – 4 years. Operators will be evaluated during the training period and placed at the level of competence accordingly. All the operations team are considered field and board operators when Level 1 is achieved. Knowledgeable in the local environmental and health and safety requirements. Demonstrated interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to employee involvement, team building and diversity. Able to communicate between operations and maintenance teams. Ability to communicate with the customer at the board level on a daily basis. Role Description The Micro Tunneling Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring micro tunneling machines and associated equipment during underground pipeline installation projects. This full-time, on-site role is based in Saudi Arabia and involves setting up machinery, aligning and launching micro tunneling systems, and ensuring accurate tunnel boring according to project specifications. The operator will inspect equipment, perform basic maintenance, and report any mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance teams. Daily tasks include checking slurry and guidance systems, recording operational parameters, coordinating with site engineers and crew members, and following safety procedures and environmental standards. The role includes ladle preparation, pouring box preparation, stopper rod fixing, nozzle setting, refractory maintenance, and ensuring safe pouring to produce the high-quality castings as per foundry SOP and safety standards.</p><p>Job Responsibilities Operational Duties Perform molten metal pouring using teapot ladle, stopper rod pouring box and slide gate ladle for medium to heavy castings. Prepare ladles before pouring, including refractory lining inspection, patch repair, and proper drying/preheating. Carry out nozzle setting, slide gate assembly fixing, and alignment to ensure smooth metal flow. Check ladle refractory condition, stopper head, slide plates, and seating area before every heat. Handle and pour various grades including alloy steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and ductile iron. Maintain correct pouring temperature, slag control, and steady metal stream to prevent casting defects. Follow approved pouring sequence, heat number identification, and mould marking system. Monitor slide gate operation and metal level during pouring. Coordinate with melting, moulding, and quality departments for smooth production. Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures to prevent spillage and metal-related hazards. Maintain pouring and ladles and pouring boxes maintenance records.</p><p>Safety Responsibilities Follow PPE requirements (face shield, gloves, safety shoes, ear protection, Aluminized suit etc.). Ensure safe handling of heavy castings liquid metal using cranes and lifting tools. Remove slag from ladles and maintain housekeeping around grinding area. Report unsafe conditions, tool damages, or machine any abnormalities.</p><p>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) KPIs Pouring Operator Maintain pouring defects within limits. Achieve high RFT without rework. Control pouring temperature as specified. Ensure proper ladle preparation before each heat. Prevent slide gate leakage and nozzle choking. Minimize metal spillage and improve yield. Meet shift heat and tonnage targets. Maintain zero accidents and full PPE compliance. Reduce pouring-related downtime. Follow SOP and maintain proper records.</p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><h2>Education</h2><p>Minimum ITI / Technical Diploma in Foundry Technology, Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related field. Secondary School Certificate (10th / 12th) with strong practical foundry experience will also be considered. Basic knowledge of metallurgy, temperature control, and safety standards is preferred.</p><h2>Experience</h2><p>Minimum 5-10 years of experience as Pouring Operator in steel and iron foundry. Proven experience in pouring critical castings like valves, pumps, impellers, turbine casings, and other heavy engineering castings. Hands-on experience in ladle refractory lining, nozzle setting, slide gate mechanism maintenance, and ladle preparation. Experience handling alloy steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and ductile iron grades.</p><h2>Skill Requirements</h2><p>Strong knowledge of refractory materials and ladle preparation practices. Good understanding of pouring-related defects and prevention methods. Ability to troubleshoot nozzle choking, slide gate leakage, and metal flow issues. High safety awareness in molten metal handling operations. HYCO Lead Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient and stable operation of the entire Hydrogen Manufacturing Unit from a centralized control room using DCS. This includes monitoring, controlling and optimizing to meet production targets, quality specifications and environmental regulations. This includes actively supporting plant performance, process optimization and production stability while maintaining strong focus on safety &amp; compliance. The HYCO Lead Operator will execute daily tasks which include preparing and implementing safety work permits, LOTO, completing operations preventative maintenance activities, and assist the maintenance and engineering teams in preparing and executing corrective maintenance activities. An Associate Technical Degree (2-year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence.</li><li>Experience in DCS Operation &amp; Field Operation, with minimum of 5 years’ Lead DCS Operations</li><li>Experience in SMR based Hydrogen or Ammonia or Methanol or Syngas plant as DCS Operator.</li><li>Proficiency with DCS platforms (e.g. Yokogawa Centum VP, Siemens PCS 7)</li><li>Deep understanding of Chemical Engineering Principles, thermodynamics and process control.
