<br> Here's what you'll need <br>
<ul><li>Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.</li><li>Minimum 8+ years of experience in mechanical inspection and construction supervision.</li><li>Proven experience working on hotel, hospitality, mixed-use, or luxury hospitality developments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building services systems.</li><li>Familiarity with international codes and standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, SMACNA, and local authority regulations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.</li><li>Excellent communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.</li><li>Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes within construction projects.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection activities simultaneously.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and common construction management platforms.</li></ul>

<p><span>Jacobs is looking for an experienced Civil Architectural Inspector to join our team and help deliver world-class hospitality projects.</span></p><br><br><p><span>In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that architectural and civil works are constructed to the highest quality standards, in line with project specifications, luxury brand requirements, approved drawings, and regulatory requirements. From guestrooms and public spaces to façades and back-of-house areas, you will play a key role in maintaining quality throughout the construction and handover phases of hotel developments.</span></p><br><br><p><span>We are looking for someone with strong site inspection experience, an eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest environments.</span></p><br><br><span>Quality Inspection & Assurance</span><ul><li>Conduct inspections in accordance with approved ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.</li><li>Monitor and inspect architectural and civil works including blockwork, plastering, screeds, waterproofing, tiling, stonework, terrazzo, joinery, drywall, ceilings, painting, glazing, doors, ironmongery, sealants, and external works.</li><li>Verify materials against approved submittals, mock-ups, samples, and hospitality brand standards.</li><li>Check levels, dimensions, alignment, tolerances, finish quality, and workmanship to identify issues early and minimize rework.</li><li>Raise inspection reports, NCRs, and corrective action requests, and follow through to closure.</li></ul><span>Hospitality-Focused Inspections</span><ul><li>Inspect guestrooms, corridors, public areas, restaurants, ballrooms, spas, gyms, and other guest-facing spaces to ensure the highest level of finish quality.</li><li>Monitor bathroom waterproofing systems, flood testing, tile slopes, fixture alignment, acoustic seals, and fire-rated door installations.</li><li>Review luxury finishes including natural stone, feature ceilings, decorative wall treatments, and custom joinery.</li><li>Inspect pools, water features, and wet-area installations, including waterproofing systems, movement joints, and testing requirements.</li><li>Verify façade interfaces, glazing, curtain wall alignments, sealants, and water-tightness requirements.</li><li>Ensure fire life safety, accessibility, acoustic performance, and hospitality brand standards are achieved throughout the project.</li></ul><span>Coordination & Project Support</span><ul><li>Work closely with contractors, consultants, architects, interior designers, and MEP teams to resolve site issues and ensure seamless coordination.</li><li>Participate in daily inspections, quality walkdowns, hold-point inspections, snagging, and de-snagging activities.</li><li>Support BIM-to-site verification and raise RFIs where design clarification is required.</li><li>Review and validate architectural as-built records and maintain room-by-room quality trackers.</li></ul><span>Documentation & Compliance</span><ul><li>Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, checklists, photographs, and quality documentation.</li><li>Track mock-up approvals, testing records, snag lists, and close-out documentation.</li><li>Support authority inspections, project handovers, and final acceptance activities.</li><li><span>Utilize construction management platforms such as Aconex, Procore, BIM 360, Bluebeam, or similar systems</span>.</li></ul><br>

<ul><li>Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.</li><li>7–10 years of experience in architectural and finishes inspection on major construction projects.</li><li>At least 5–7 years of experience working on hospitality, hotel, luxury residential, or mixed-use developments.</li><li>Strong knowledge of waterproofing, stone and tile installations, luxury finishes, joinery, façade works, and quality control processes.</li><li>Hands-on experience managing ITPs, WIRs, MIRs, mock-up approvals, NCRs, snagging, and project handovers.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.</li></ul>

The role ensures the effective administration of consultancy agreements, construction contracts, variations, claims, and commercial compliance while safeguarding the interests of the client and ensuring projects are delivered within approved budgets and contractual frameworks. The Commercial Director provides strategic commercial leadership to the supervision team, supports decision-making on contractual matters, and oversees commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle.<br></span></p><br><br><p><span><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p><br><br><p><span><strong>Commercial Leadership & Strategy</strong></span></p><br><br><p><span>Develop and implement commercial management strategies that support the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure programs, ensuring alignment with client objectives and contractual requirements.
