You will own Salla's event taxonomy, tracking plans, schemas, and identity model, and the validation that keeps them trustworthy. You will work inside the engineering development lifecycle, in PRDs, design reviews and pull requests, rather than downstream of it, and partner with Product so that every behavioural metric traces back to an event someone deliberately designed, documented and monitored. This is a senior individual-contributor role with company-wide leverage, suited to someone who understands that the hardest part of instrumentation is not the schema, it is getting a hundred engineers to adopt it.

Responsibilities

Own the design, development, and maintenance of our data models and transformation pipelines

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data needs and build scalable solutions

Ensure data quality and consistency through rigorous testing, validation, and monitoring practices

Proactively spot and fix data issues

Maintain and document the data warehouse structure, data dictionary, and lineage

Define and enforce data modeling best practices

Partner with analytics and business teams to optimize self-serve access to reliable metrics and insights

Improve developer experience across the data stack by automating workflows and simplifying data discovery

Desired Candidate Profile

6+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, product analytics infrastructure, or software engineering, including at least 3 years directly owning event instrumentation and tracking.

Proven track record designing an event taxonomy and tracking plan from scratch, and driving genuine adoption across engineering teams

Hands-on experience with event collection or CDP platforms (Segment, Jitsu, or similar) and product analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog, GA4)

Strong software engineering fundamentals, enough production fluency in at least one of TypeScript/JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift, PHP, Go or Python to meaningfully review an engineer's tracking pull request.

Expert SQL and hands-on dbt, with experience modelling high-volume event data in a columnar warehouse (ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake).

Working knowledge of streaming architecture (Kafka or equivalent), including delivery semantics, idempotency, deduplication and late-arriving data

Experience with server-side tagging, consent management, and privacy regulation.

A clear, defensible point of view on identity resolution, sessionisation, and cross-platform stitching.

Demonstrated ability to influence engineering teams without authority, and excellent written communication.

Nice to Have

Proficiency working in Arabic

Experience working in the GCC

Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, or multi-tenant SaaS platforms

Depth in mobile instrumentation (native SDKs, install attribution, deep links, offline buffering)

Familiarity with tracking-plan governance or event observability tooling (Avo, Segment Protocols, Trackingplan or similar)

About the company Jisr is Saudi Arabia s leading HR and payroll platform, helping organisations digitise people operations and stay compliant with local regulations. Our platform serves fast growing SMB, mid market and enterprise customers across the Kingdom and wider GCC, giving HR and finance teams the tools they need to hire, manage and pay people with confidence. As we scale our go to market engine for 2026 and beyond, we are building a modern, high performing SDR organisation that sets the standard for pipeline excellence in the region. This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal phase of growth, where your work will directly influence our success and help shape the next generation of talent within Jisr.

The opportunity This is not a pixel-pushing role. Jisr operates in a deeply regulated, culturally specific domain where the real design challenge lives in the system, not the screen. As a Product Designer you will untangle complex workflows spanning payroll, compliance, employee lifecycle and organisational structure, then shape those into coherent, trustworthy experiences for HR professionals across Saudi Arabia. You will report into a Design Manager and work inside a cross-functional product squad, but you will own the design outcomes end to end. You show work early, invite challenge, and iterate fast. You collaborate closely with our Research and Content Design teams to ground decisions in real user needs and clear language. You bring stakeholders along from discovery through delivery. We work with high autonomy and expect you to drive clarity where there is ambiguity. AI tools are part of our workflow and we expect you to use them to move faster, think wider and augment your craft.

What you will do Map and decompose complex HR workflows to understand the full system before designing any interface. Think in jobs to be done, edge cases and downstream consequences. Own the design process end to end, from problem framing and research synthesis through to interaction design, prototyping and production-ready specs. Collaborate deeply with the Research team to plan studies, interpret findings and translate insights into design direction. Partner with Content Design to ensure the product speaks clearly and consistently. Show work early and often. Present concepts to stakeholders, facilitate critique sessions and use feedback to sharpen solutions rather than polish decks. Contribute to and evolve our design system, ensuring components reflect real usage patterns and scale across the platform. Work closely with Engineering to ensure intent carries through to implementation. Sweat the details during build and QA. Use AI-powered tools to accelerate research synthesis, explore design variations, generate content and automate repetitive tasks. Manage stakeholder relationships proactively. Communicate trade-offs clearly and build trust through transparency and delivery.

What you bring 3+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise software or complex regulated domains. A portfolio that demonstrates systems thinking: how you broke down a messy problem, mapped the landscape and arrived at a coherent solution, not just polished screens. Strong interaction and visual design skills grounded in solid information architecture. Experience working in cross-functional squads with product managers, engineers, researchers and content designers. Comfort operating with autonomy in an async-first, remote environment. You structure your own work and communicate proactively. Familiarity with modern AI tools and a willingness to integrate them into your design process. Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders. Experience with Figma and modern prototyping tools. Nice to have Experience designing for the MENA region or Arabic-first interfaces (RTL, bilingual flows). Background in HR tech, payroll, compliance or workforce management. Familiarity with jobs-to-be-done frameworks and service design methods. Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system at scale.

Why Jisr Shape a product used by thousands of companies in one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Work in a design team that values depth over speed and systems thinking over feature shipping. High autonomy, async-first culture with the flexibility of fully remote work. Competitive compensation and benefits relevant to your location. Learning and development budget to invest in your growth.

Desired Candidate Profile

What you bring

3+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise software or complex regulated domains.
