NEOM Green Hydrogen Company Limited (NGHC) NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is an equal joint venture between Air Products, ACWA Power, and NEOM responsible for the development of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in the autonomous NEOM region within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Project will see the construction of the world’s largest plant to produce green hydrogen at scale, producing up to 600 tonnes of carbon-free hydrogen per day through the integration of approximately 4GW of Solar and Wind energy. The plant will produce green ammonia for export to global markets and is scheduled to be onstream in 2026.<br>JOB DETAILS:Division: GH2 Operations. REPORTS TO: GH2 Maintenance Manager. LIAISE/COOPERATE WITH: Plant operation staff, technical support teams, purchasing, materials management teams and contractors.<br>POSITION SUMMARY:The Instrumentation Supervisor is a key member of the maintenance team for the GHE site in Neom. This position will be responsible for the instrumentation maintenance of the plants (Hydrogen, Ammonia, ASU, Utilities, and Jetty). The selected candidate will build strong relationships with the plant operating staff, technical support teams, as well as contractors. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager of GH2.<br>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:Working alongside the maintenance manager, must build the instrumentation maintenance team. Lead a team of 10 - 20 Instrumentation technicians and planners. Will be part of the working group that will be responsible for creating/reviewing the preventive maintenance plans. Drive the Instrumentation maintenance team towards compliance with maintenance performance metrics such as PM compliance, monthly spending vs budget and safety program participation. Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and very high priority maintenance activities. Work with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize, schedule, and perform all daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities. Prepare weekly and monthly reports. Coaching and development of Instrument technicians Availability to take calls after hours and weekends. Work with the materials management department to update spare parts information as necessary and to support inventory management activities. Elaborate technical specifications describing the scope of services for bidding process to select contractors. Provide support in the GHE site Turnarounds preparation. Actively participate in NGHC safety programs, promote, and enforce safety rules and good housekeeping methods. Ensuring application and compliance with all training, procedures, standards, specifications, KSA codes and statutory requirements. Continually evaluating maintenance methodologies, preventative/predictive programs, work practices, etc., to improve equipment integrity and reliability. Promote resource sharing across NGHC Operations. Rapid response and correction of regular and unplanned maintenance to prevent business loss. Provide support preparing of maintenance budgets for the production plants. Problem solving, making diagnoses, and implementing initiatives for problem resolution are part of his responsibilities. Actively participate in the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of the plants. Creating maintenances procedures as needed. Establish clear objectives for direct reports, communicating objectives and providing feedback through the annual performance review. Contractor management according AP procedures. Lead the implementation of changes through the MOC process. Approve and control overtime of technicians.<br>PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:10 - 20 direct and up to 50 contractors during turnarounds.<br>ESSENTIAL EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:The incumbent should possess a minimum Diploma or bachelor’s degree (additional preference) in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience and a minimum of 15 years of related maintenance management experience in the industrial gas, chemical, refining and or related industry.<br>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Experience in hazardous area instrumentation and safety systems (SIS, SIL). Understanding of ISO standards, IEC codes, and industry best practices. Oversee that WOs generated from CAFM are performed on time.<br>PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for adhering to and implementing all facility guidelines and procedures related to his/her work. Responsible for developing all MoPs for all (minor) preventive maintenance activities according to vendors/OEM Operation Manuals. Responsible for following SOPs and EOPs during preventive and corrective maintenance. Responsible for executing and filling Work Orders, verifying minor maintenance tasks performed by on site Technicians, and witnessing major maintenance tasks performed by Vendors. Responsible for verifying isolation, shut down, start-up, emergency shut-down and restoration procedures of all data center facility infrastructure equipment whenever needed. Responsible for performing daily walk rounds, monitoring Building Management System (BMS), and for clearing all critical and minor alarms on both equipment control panel and BMS workstation. Responsible for conducting periodic testing on Engine Generators without load, and without utility. Responsible for switching and managing rotating equipment and maintaining redundancy. Responsible for responding to unplanned events and emergency scenarios, and for sustaining data center operations. Responsible for escalating emergency failures and alarms to Facility Maintenance Supervisor and Vendors. Responsible for maintaining tools calibrated and in good condition. Responsible for managing spare parts and consumables inventories on site and keeping them up-to-date. Report any required changes to the executed procedures in the Work Order once completed. Advise on any enhancement to be made to the current SOPs, EOPs, and MoPs through formal change request. Responsible for executing any required change to the facility (set point, redundancy rotation, labelling….).<br>EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE:Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. A very good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in use in the data center including transformers, generators, switchgears, UPS, PDU, chillers, Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAH), FCUs, chilled water pumps, fuel system, etc. Knowledge of engineering design calculations, principles, codes and standards for both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Very familiar with Health & Safety guidelines and procedures, especially for operating electrical or energized equipment. Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.<br>EXPERIENCE:Requires minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in Data Center. Have experience in MEP equipment specifications, performance requirements, operating conditions, redlines, and site configurations, as well as startup/shutdown, LOTO and isolation. Have experience in BMS monitoring and alarm management.<br>SKILLS/ABILITIES:Ability to address any issues or incidents that arise in the data center, day or night. Ability to respond to emergency scenarios and to report problem accurately to Vendors and Facility Maintenance Supervisor. Ability to diagnose root cause of equipment failures. Adaptable, ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time. Ability to provide direction to electrical and mechanical Technicians. Ability to work a rotational on-call shift. Ability to work under pressure, adaptable, ability to multi-task. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
