Job Description – Maintenance Worker (Heavy Equipment)
Position: Maintenance Worker
Job Summary:Responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing the mechanical and electrical systems of heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.* Inspect heavy equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems.* Replace defective or worn mechanical and electrical components.* Test equipment after maintenance to ensure proper operation.* Report major faults and maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor.* Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.* Follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.* Keep tools and the workshop clean and organized.* Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and on time.
Job Requirements:
* High school diploma or Technical/Vocational certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).* Experience in heavy equipment maintenance.* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of heavy equipment.* Ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults.* Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely.* Basic understanding of maintenance manuals and technical instructions.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Commitment to safety procedures and company policies.
