About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shared Services Manager to oversee and optimize the company's corporate support functions. The successful candidate will lead multiple departments, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality internal services while supporting the company's strategic objectives. <p>Dispenses medications ordered by privileged physicians while observing at all times highest standards of safety and quality and ensuring prompt seamless process that is conducive to highest patient satisfaction.</p><p>Key Responsibilities and Duties:</p><ul><li>Reviews, interprets, clarifies doctor s medications orders and verifies all orders doses, duration and checks for potential drug-to-drug interaction and clinical indication.</li><li>Communicates with ordering doctor in case of any ambiguity or concern.</li><li>Oversees the preparation of the verified medications, performs double-checking and review of proper labeling for the prepared medications and then dispenses.</li><li>Calculates the amount of the drug product to dispense for a prescription based upon body weight and patient age.</li><li>Performs computer entry of outside prescriptions or orders into CPOE of Fakeeh Care HIS before dispensing.</li><li>Ensures prompt and timely calling of patients to dispensing windows and aims at reducing patients waiting time to the minimum possible.</li><li>Counsels the patients and caregivers on the proper & safe use of medication, storage, and interactions, etc.</li><li>Follows all medication safety procedures when dispensing medications.</li><li>Maintains inventory control & security of all drugs, record keeping and secured storage of narcotics and controlled medications.</li><li>Identifies and appropriately handles the nearly expired medications according to Fakeeh Care policies and NEVER dispenses a medication beyond its expiry date.</li><li>Properly completes charging of patients for dispensed medications.</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of proper storage & handling of hazardous materials found in her/him workplace, as well as first aid measures necessary for accidental exposure.</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge & skills in utilizing formulary, identifications of generic substitution, indication and the role of deductible limits and application of prescription quantity limitations.</li><li>Practices and fully complies with current infection prevention and control standards when handling medications and preparing IV and TPN formulas.</li><li>Contributes to training and induction orientation for newly hired pharmacists and students and trainees.</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used over the counter (OTC) drugs.</li><li>Reports to pharmacy supervisor/ manager and enters on OVR any encountered medication error or ADR.</li><li>Attends continuing education programs to maintain expertise in pharmacy and required licensure.</li><li>Ensures Enrollment in continuous education program regarding medication management practices, high risk medications, medication errors and others.</li><li>Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if applicable.</li><li>All Fakeeh Care employees are responsible for continuous improvement, including:</li><ul><li>Performing all duties and tasks in a manner that supports Fakeeh s Person-Centered care values.</li><li>Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, within the scope of the role.</li><li>Adherence to safety protocols and proactively seeking to address any job-related safety concerns.</li><li>Maintaining strict confidentiality of all sensitive information accessed or encountered during work.</li><li>Complying with cybersecurity policies and standards to protect Fakeeh s systems and participating in awareness training and initiatives to prevent cyber threats.</li><li>Adhering to and upholding Fakeeh Care s code of conduct, policies and ethical standards.</li><li>Completion of mandatory education as per the requirement, at least one month prior to expiration.</li></ul></ul><p>Skills and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Competent computer skills with software applications to include Microsoft Word, Excel.</li><li>Actively strive to upgrade professional skills through engaging in appropriate professional training and experience.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree of Pharmacy.</li><li>Good command of oral and written English.</li><li>License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA).</li><li>0-2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.</li></ul>
