<p>Job purpose The Senior Specialist, Exploration Licensing will lead and manage the strategic and operational aspects of exploration licensing and tenement management, ensuring full compliance with regulatory frameworks and alignment with corporate exploration objectives. The Senior Specialist will act as a key advisor on licensing matters, drive process improvements, and foster strong relationships with regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders. <br><p>We are seeking an Architect to join the Engineering & Design Division of the Community Services Technical Support Department.</p><br><br>
<p>The Engineering & Design Division provides multidisciplinary engineering, architectural and technical services in support of Community Services facilities and programs, including the assessment, planning, design, renovation, enhancement and construction support of residential, recreational, administrative, educational, public-use and support facilities.</p><br><br>
<p>The Senior Community Facilities Engineer – Architectural provides senior-level architectural and technical expertise for the assessment, planning, design, renovation and enhancement of Community Services facilities. The role supports multidisciplinary coordination, code and standards compliance, value engineering, constructability, construction support and the delivery of sustainable, resilient and human-centered facilities. The role also promotes resource efficiency, low-carbon and circular economy principles, accessibility, placemaking, public realm quality and lifecycle performance.</p><br><br>Duties and Responsibilities
<br><p>You will be required to perform the following:</p><br><br>

<li>Provide senior architectural engineering expertise for new construction, renovations, expansions, rehabilitation and enhancement of Community Services facilities from initial assessment and planning through design development, construction and closeout.</li>
<li>Perform architectural assessments of existing facilities to evaluate condition, functionality, code compliance, accessibility, building performance and suitability for current and future operational requirements, and develop technically sound improvement strategies.</li>
<li>Develop architectural concepts, space programs, planning criteria, design requirements and technical solutions that respond to proponent needs while optimizing functionality, user experience, operational efficiency, maintainability and lifecycle value.</li>
<li>Review architectural studies, drawings, specifications, calculations, material selections and design packages at various stages of development to verify technical adequacy, completeness, constructability and compliance with applicable Company requirements, building codes and recognized international standards.</li>
<li>Lead resolution of complex architectural and facility-related technical issues and develop recommendations considering safety, functionality, aesthetics, constructability, cost, schedule, sustainability, maintainability, resilience and long-term facility performance.</li>

<li>Incorporate circular economy principles through efficient use of materials, adaptive reuse, durability, flexibility, waste reduction and lifecycle considerations in facility planning and design.</li>

<li>Evaluate emerging global trends, technologies, materials and best practices related to sustainability, decarbonization, resilience, smart buildings and future-ready community facilities, and recommend appropriate applications.</li>
<li>Provide architectural technical support during construction, including review of technical submittals and field conditions, evaluation of proposed design changes, resolution of site-related technical issues and verification that implemented solutions maintain approved design intent.</li>
<li>Assess deviations, nonconformances and unforeseen site conditions and develop appropriate architectural corrective solutions while protecting project quality, schedule and operational requirements.</li>
<li>Provide technical consultation to Community Services organizations and management on facility development, renovation strategies, architectural standards, design alternatives and complex building-related matters.</li>
<li>Develop and contribute to architectural guidelines, design criteria, standard details, technical practices and other engineering tools that promote consistency, quality, sustainability and effective governance across Community Services facilities.</li>
<li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced architects and engineers and contribute to the development and transfer of architectural knowledge within the organization.</li>
</ul><br>Minimum Requirements
<br><p>• As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree in a related discipline is preferred.<br>• You will have fifteen years of experience in architectural design, engineering and development of building and community facility projects, including at least five years in a senior technical role involving complex multidisciplinary facilities. Sustainability, Circular Economy & Resource Value Strategy · Define waste hierarchy strategy, circular economy roadmap, and resource value framework, prioritising prevention, reduction, reuse, segregation, recycling, recovery, and responsible disposal.<br> · Develop material flow strategies for municipal solid waste, recyclables, organics, food waste, construction and demolition waste, hazardous waste, event waste, landscape waste, and special waste streams.<br> · Set long-term diversion, recovery, contamination reduction, reuse, carbon reduction, and circularity targets aligned with ESG commitments, Vision 2030 priorities, Saudi regulations, and international best practice.<br> · Identify strategic resource recovery opportunities, including recycling markets, organics processing, composting, anaerobic digestion, waste-to-energy, material recovery facilities, reverse logistics, and producer responsibility partnerships.<br> · Lead business case development for circular economy infrastructure, assessing whole-life cost, environmental benefits, commercial returns, regulatory implications, technology maturity, land requirements, and operational interfaces.<br> · Establish policies, standards, and performance requirements for segregation at source, tenant waste management, public realm recycling, event waste planning, construction waste recovery, and contractor reporting.<br> · Create mechanisms to track resource value, including recovered material volumes, avoided disposal cost, revenue potential, carbon impact, contamination levels, market demand, and contribution to sustainability reporting.<br> · Partner with development, procurement, commercial, design, tenant management, events, hospitality, and sustainability teams to embed circular economy principles into assets, leases, vendor requirements, and operating standards.<br> · Provide strategic advice on emerging waste technologies, policy changes, circular economy partnerships, innovation pilots, and investment opportunities that improve long-term resource productivity and environmental outcomes.<br> 4.
