The role ensures that all guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, banquet facilities, back-of-house areas, and critical mechanical systems operate efficiently and reliably, maintaining the highest standards of guest comfort, safety, energy efficiency, and luxury hospitality.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Preventive Maintenance</p><ul><li>Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, and chilled water systems according to the hotel's maintenance schedule.</li><li>Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.</li><li>Replace filters, belts, bearings, motors, thermostats, valves, and other HVAC components as required.</li><li>Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and equipment history.</li></ul><p>Repairs and Troubleshooting</p><ul><li>Diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, fan coil units (FCUs), air handling units (AHUs), package units, split systems, pumps, and associated controls.</li><li>Respond promptly to guest room and operational maintenance requests.</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate testing equipment.</li><li>Minimize equipment downtime through timely repairs and effective problem-solving.</li></ul><p>Guest Room &amp; Public Area Support</p><ul><li>Ensure guest room air conditioning systems operate efficiently and quietly.</li><li>Maintain comfortable temperature and humidity levels throughout the hotel.</li><li>Respond immediately to guest complaints related to air conditioning or ventilation.</li><li>Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruption to guests and hotel operations.</li></ul><p>Plant Room Operations</p><ul><li>Monitor the performance of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and mechanical ventilation systems.</li><li>Record equipment operating parameters and report abnormalities.</li><li>Assist with plant shutdowns, startups, and seasonal maintenance activities.</li><li>Support emergency repairs to critical HVAC infrastructure.</li></ul><p>Energy Management</p><ul><li>Assist in implementing energy conservation initiatives.</li><li>Monitor HVAC performance to improve operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption.</li><li>Recommend equipment upgrades and maintenance improvements that enhance system reliability and sustainability.</li><li>Support the hotel's environmental and sustainability objectives.</li></ul><p>Safety &amp; Compliance</p><ul><li>Follow all occupational health and safety procedures during maintenance activities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and refrigerant handling requirements.</li><li>Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.</li><li>Report unsafe conditions and equipment defects immediately.</li><li>Maintain proper handling, recovery, storage, and disposal of refrigerants in accordance with applicable regulations.</li></ul><p>Documentation</p><ul><li>Complete work orders accurately and promptly through the hotel's maintenance management system.</li><li>Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and equipment documentation.</li><li>Report recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory.</li></ul><p>Teamwork</p><ul><li>Coordinate with Engineering colleagues and other hotel departments during maintenance activities.</li><li>Support banquet, conference, and special event operations by ensuring HVAC systems are functioning properly.</li><li>Assist with general engineering duties when required.</li><li>Participate in emergency response procedures and technical standby coverage.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>Diploma or technical certification in HVAC, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade.</li><li>Valid HVAC or refrigeration certification/license, where required by local regulations.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of HVAC maintenance experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, hospital, or large commercial facility.</li><li>Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) is an advantage.</li></ul><p></p></section>
