Job Summary:The Linux & K8s and Backup Administrator is responsible for the administration, security, monitoring, and operational support of Linux systems, Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, containerized environments, and Veeam backup infrastructure. The role ensures system availability, security, performance, backup integrity, and disaster recovery readiness. Key Responsibilities:Administer and support Linux-based systems and services, including security hardening, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Monitor system health, logs, user activities, patch levels, and critical services. Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, and configuration compliance validation. Administer and monitor Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and containerized environments. Validate Kubernetes cluster configurations, container images, and runtime security according to best practices. Monitor container activities, orchestration events, performance, and security alerts. Ensure compliance with backup retention policies and support disaster recovery planning and testing. Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.3–5 years of hands-on experience in Linux administration, Kubernetes/K8s, and backup administration. Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration, security hardening, and patch management. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
