The incumbent will ensure independent and objective identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, reporting and control of operational risk for the Branch, including, the management and supervision of all operational risk types such as internal and external fraud, employment practices and workplace safety, clients, products, & business practice, damage to physical assets, business disruption & systems failures and execution, delivery, & process management.<br><br>The candidate is also required to provide hands-on support and relevant solutions for effective operation of data management, MIS, analytics evaluations, and other support required for ALCO and Group Risk Committee and actively support the Head of Risk in Group Risk Projects and initiatives.<br><br>Main Responsibilities<br><br> Assist in the management of fundamental prudential risks of the bank: counterparty, leverage, liquidity, interest rate, currency, and other market risks. Support in the oversight and formulation of advice to the Branch on the current risk exposures of the bank and future risk strategy, including strategy for capital and liquidity management with due consideration to the current and prospective macroeconomic and financial environment. Take pro-active steps to enable the Branch to move to more sophisticated/ advanced methods for calculation/ measurement of operational risk and the related impact on the associated capital levels. Coordinate with Compliance to obtain updates on regulatory changes pertaining to risk to assess their impact on the Group’s different portfolio risk profiles. Support the department head to provide timely and accurate risk information to Risk & Management Committees, external & internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required. To assist customers (External/Internal) in all their queries on the Divisions products/tasks and seek solution to their requests Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turn-around time. Relative to Market Risk Portfolio, ALM & Liquidity Risk Management; Review and propose necessary changes to the existing portfolio management techniques and procedures for the domestic and overseas business in light of changing market conditions based on Basel Committee recommendations/ other best practices and QCB or any host regulator regulations and guidelines to ensure that a sound environment for identifying, assessing, measuring, monitoring and controlling Risk is in place. Leverage on the necessary tools, systems, and MIS reports for monitoring of limits that relate to borrowers, counterparties, cross-border Group entities and more specifically excess over limit, expired limits, expired facilities, classification of advances per credit rating criteria, related party exposure and credit concentration, Liquidity monitoring and related market risk exposures Support for correction of any weaknesses identified during assessments, audits, or examinations by internal/ external audit staff, Group Compliance personnel, regulators examiners or Sharia’ auditors as applicable.<br><br>Learning & Knowledge<br><br>Solid experience in market risk and liquidity risk management as well as excellent understanding of Asset-Liability management. The Job Summary The Director – Operations is responsible for directing all aspects of BTC operations, including lease, maintenance, project management, customer experience, logistics and warehousing, ensuring efficiency, productivity, profitability and process optimization; delivering exceptional services to BTC customers; developing and implementing BTC operational strategy and governance in line with business objectives; and optimizing company resources to ensure operational excellence. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities1) Operational Strategy & Governance• Play a pivotal role in implementing BTC corporate strategy with an emphasis on operations and communicate company strategy to the operational team.• Ensure the operational strategy is built on credible data, analysis and insight in line with car rental industry trends, challenges and practices.• Translate operational strategy into actionable plans, ensuring all departments within operations are aligned.• Work closely with the COO to develop operational strategy and framework including policies, procedures, processes, systems, standards and internal controls.• Lead implementation and ensure compliance with operational governance.2) Lease Operation• Direct day-to-day leased vehicle fleet operations, prioritizing operational excellence, profitability, customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.• Implement lease operation strategies aimed at maximizing fleet utilization while minimizing idle inventory.• Monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient lease vehicles to meet customer demand.• Review vehicle inventory reports to ensure all vehicles are accounted for, accurately recorded and physically tracked.• Direct lease operation invoicing and payment processes.• Lead preparation, negotiation and renewal of top-tier leasing contracts with the Lease Operation Manager.• Review lease agreements to ensure regulatory compliance, BTC policy adherence and industry best practices.• Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial and operational risks.• Mentor, availability of necessary parts and equipment for repair and maintenance.• Conduct field visits to workshops and agencies to monitor maintenance quality.• Participate in development of the maintenance The HYCO Shift Supervisor will manage the day-to-day shift operations which include daily customer production meetings, insuring daily operational targets are achieved, interfacing with the Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the site. The HYCO Shift Supervisor will be responsible to ensure the Operations staff is properly trained to support the operations in addition to the incumbent execute daily tasks which include preparing and implementing safety work permits, LOTO, complete operations preventative maintenance activities, and assist the maintenance and engineering teams in preparing and executing corrective maintenance activities. This position is an extension of the operating team and is expected to engage in all plant operations and ensure tasks performed safely.<br><br>Safety<br><br>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:<br><br>Provide & maintain a safe work environment. Maintain a relationship with the customer’s counterparts from other Refinery Units where from APQ either receiving Feedstock, Utilities & Power or supplying Hydrogen and Steam to different Refinery Units on a regular basis through Refinery Shift Superintendent to ensure alignment of expectations for APQ and the customers current and future product demand.<br><br>Job Requirements<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations preferred. An associate technical degree (2 year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence. Experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries in operations, engineering, and/or a maintenance function. Demonstrated HYCO knowledge a plus, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience with 4 + years in line supervision of process operations roles. Expectation based on level of experience for the operations team to achieve a ‘Level 1 / Board Level’ status within 2 – 4 years. Operators will be evaluated during the training period and placed at the level of competence accordingly. All the operations team are considered field and board operators when Level 1 is achieved. Leadership positions are expected to follow the progression process. The HYCO Operations Supervisor is an extension of the operating team and is expected to engage in plant operations when required. Proven coordination experience in a multi team environment which includes operations, engineering, and maintenance.
