The project involves extensive infrastructure and built assets, delivered rapidly through a hands-on construction management approach, ideal for those experienced in managing both main and sub-contract packages.<br><br><strong>The Role<br><br></strong>Mace is seeking an experienced senior construction manager to lead the delivery of a major package of infrastructure, civil, and building works.<br><br>The successful candidate will take ownership of a significant construction portfolio, including central utility infrastructure, industrial process facilities, roads, civil works, and associated external works. The role requires a strong site presence, with approximately 70% of time spent overseeing construction activities on site and 30% focused on planning, reporting, stakeholder management and contractor coordination.<br><br>This is a remote site-based opportunity operating on rotation with camp accommodation provided.<br><br>Working within a PMC environment, the successful candidate will provide visible leadership across contractors, consultants and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme, quality and commercial objectives.<br><br><strong>You’ll Be Responsible For<br><br></strong><ul><li> Leading the construction delivery of civil, infrastructure, and building works.</li><li> Managing contractor performance to ensure delivery against approved programme, quality and safety requirements.</li><li> Driving construction progress across multiple work fronts whilst proactively mitigating delivery risks and constraints.</li><li> Providing leadership and oversight for utility and infrastructure assets including district cooling facilities, generator farms, water treatment facilities, sewage treatment infrastructure, fire water storage systems, pump stations and associated networks.</li><li> Managing roads, hardscape, landscape and general civil works packages through all phases of construction.</li><li> Coordinating interfaces between contractors, consultants, specialist suppliers and client representatives.</li><li> Reviewing construction methodologies, sequencing plans, temporary works proposals and recovery programmes.</li><li> Monitoring construction progress, productivity and resource deployment across all package contractors.</li><li> Chairing site coordination meetings, progress reviews and technical workshops.</li><li> Ensuring compliance with project specifications, contract requirements and approved construction documentation.</li><li> Supporting commercial teams with variation reviews, claims assessments and change management processes.</li><li> Championing a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture across all construction activities.</li><li> Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.</li><li> Supporting project reporting, governance requirements and senior stakeholder updates.<br><br></li></ul><strong>You’ll Need To Have<br><br></strong><ul><li> Degree qualified in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.</li><li> Extensive experience delivering major civil, infrastructure and building projects.</li><li> Proven track record managing large-scale contractor-delivered construction packages.</li><li> Strong experience across infrastructure works including roads, utilities, treatment plants, pump stations, industrial facilities and associated civil infrastructure.</li><li> Previous experience working within a PMC, consultancy or client-side environment.</li><li> Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, project controls and programme management.</li><li> Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.</li><li> Experience managing multidisciplinary contractors within complex construction environments.</li><li> Previous Middle East project experience on major programmes, infrastructure developments or giga-projects.</li><li> Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Our values<br><br></strong><strong>Safety first - Going home safe and well:</strong> We champion a safe, diverse, and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of well-being in every team.<br><br><strong>Client focus - Deliver on our promise:</strong> We own the quality of deliverables and strategic outcomes and build long-term relationships with our clients.<br><br><strong>Integrity - Always do the right thing:</strong> We influence positive outcomes within our industry while always aligning with our compliance obligations.<br><br><strong>Create opportunity - For our people to excel:</strong> We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.<br><br>Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
