<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>SDEC is one of the leading equipment distributors and custom industrial equipment solution provider. We are inviting applications from candidates who have experience working as Team Leader.</p><p>Job Purpose: Maintains and repairs industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks & hand and power tools. Troubleshoots problems and repairs or replace worn or broken parts as necessary. Performance is aimed at ensuring a minimum downtime of the equipment.</p><p>Main Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.</li><li>Perform voltage changes on generators based on customer requirements.</li><li>Re-wire, adjust, upgrade/install control panels and voltage regulators</li><li>Determine necessary parts and special tools required to complete jobs.</li><li>Diagnose issues with the Alternator.</li><li>Adjust speed controls and various settings.</li><li>Run load bank tests on the generator.</li><li>Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and Service Manager on project progress, estimates.</li><li>Maintain a safe work environment at work sites.</li><li>Use electronic software and tools to diagnose, repair and reprogram generator controllers and related parameters.</li><li>Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring.</li><li>Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components</li><li>Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards.</li><li>Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning</li><li>Complete required documentation of repairs and service information.</li><li>Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts.</li><li>Calibrate equipment to provided specifications.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.</li><li>Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs.</li><li>Thorough and timely completion of job documentation.</li><li>Provide inputs to improve, update and add to the Work Instruction Manual.</li></ul><p>HSE Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Adhere to follow all company Quality, Health, Safety, And Environmental (QHSE) policies, procedures, and legal requirements.</li><li>Promptly identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses to the appropriate supervisor or QHSE team.</li><li>Properly use, maintain, and store personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools as required by the job.</li><li>Attend and actively participate in mandatory Safety inductions, HSE trainings, safety meetings, emergency drills and root cause investigations.</li><li>Follow established emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans, fire response, and first aid if trained.</li><li>Follow protocols to minimize environmental impact, including proper waste disposal and reporting spills or leaks.</li><li>Provide suggestions to enhance Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and take responsibility and initiatives for continual improvement.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><h2>Qualifications & Relevant Certifications</h2><ul><li>Technical Diploma/associate degree with major Electrical</li><li>Technical training certificates from OEMs</li><li>Driving License preferably GCC driving license</li></ul><h2>Knowledge Skills & Experience</h2><ul><li>Working knowledge of Electrical components of genset like alternator, control panel</li><li>Troubleshooting and field repair of large sophisticated high or low speed diesel driven generators, low, medium, and high voltage 13.8KV as well as control devices e.g., auto-start, auto load share, auto-parallel, auto-stop, synchronizing.</li><li>Programming of controllers like Deep Sea and Synchronization systems</li><li>Practical knowledge of Mechanical, Thermal, Hydraulic, Electronics principles.</li><li>Perform welding, fabrication, and calibration as needed.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of Diesel Engine, Fuel, Lubrication, Cooling and Exhaust systems particularly of the rating used for Power generation and applications in Oil & Gas industry.</li><li>Experience in servicing and repairing alternators of different name brands like Stamford, Marelli, Leroy-Somer, Mecc Alte, and Marelli along with control panel components like ATS, MCCB, MCB, PLCs and busbars for applications like synchronization.</li><li>Highly proficient in Technical English.</li><li>Proficiency with MS Office Suite particularly MS Outlook and Calendar</li><li>A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.</li><li>Effective communication in English.</li><li>Analytical and systematic problem-solving approach.</li><li>Prior experience in customer-facing roles is preferred</li><li>Years of relevant experience: 0-3</li></ul><p></p></section>

Minimum 9 11 years of post-graduate experience in a QS / Estimation role within the construction industry (contractor side). Demonstrable experience across both pre-contract and post-contract functions. Working knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC, or equivalent). Proficiency in measurement and estimating software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, Bluebeam). Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail. Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Advance knowledge in Candy Cost Estimation tool. Experience in a specific sector such as residential, commercial, infrastructure, fit-out, or civils. <strong>CORE COMPETENCIES</strong> Commercial awareness and sound contractual understanding. Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
