Role Purpose:</strong> Extract, structure, and validate Bills of Materials (BOM) for equipment and assets, identify Consumable and Rebuildable spare parts, match spare items against the Material Master , and prepare high-quality engineering data for review, approval, and upload into Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems. The BOM Engineer is responsible for BOM extraction, preparation, and structuring, while the BOM QC Engineer is responsible for quality verification, validation, and compliance before submission.</p><p><strong>2. Key Responsibilities BOM Engineer:</strong> Read and interpret technical documents including OEM Manuals, Spare Parts Catalogues, Parts Lists, Bill of Materials (BOM), Cross-Section Drawings, General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, Assembly Drawings, and Engineering Documentation. Extract complete Bills of Materials (BOM) for equipment based on manufacturer documentation. Identify and document components with accurate descriptions, quantities, hierarchy, and technical attributes. Search and match spare parts with existing Material Master records and identify items requiring new material creation. Classify spare parts as Consumable or Rebuildable according to project standards. Prepare structured BOMs using standard templates while maintaining consistency across equipment types. Prepare lists of new materials for Material Master creation where existing records are unavailable. Incorporate review comments and revise BOMs based on Quality Control feedback. Support document indexing and equipment-document linkage activities when required. Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards and material coding guidelines.</p><p><strong>3. Key Responsibilities BOM QC Engineer:</strong> Perform detailed quality checks on prepared Bills of Materials before submission. Verify BOM completeness against OEM manuals, spare parts lists, drawings, and engineering documents. Validate Material Master matching accuracy and ensure correct material identification. Verify Consumable and Rebuildable spare classification according to project standards. Review BOM templates to ensure mandatory fields, naming conventions, and engineering standards are followed. Identify data inconsistencies and coordinate corrective actions with BOM Engineers. Track quality observations, rejection reasons, and corrective actions. Prepare QC reports and support internal quality reviews. Ensure data quality, consistency, and completeness before final approval.</p><p><strong>4. Required Skills &amp; Knowledge (Both Roles):</strong> Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and maintenance documentation including: Bills of Materials (BOM) Spare Parts Lists OEM Manuals Parts Catalogues Assembly Drawings Cross-Section Drawings General Arrangement (GA) Drawings Equipment Drawings Hands-on experience extracting BOMs and spare parts information from engineering documents. Preferred Skills:</strong> Experience in Asset Management, Material Master Data Management, Spare Parts Cataloguing, or Engineering Master Data projects.
