Job Overview The Site Surveyor is responsible for performing accurate field surveys and spatial measurements to support engineering, construction, and asset management projects. The role involves using laser scanning technology and surveying equipment to capture existing site conditions, including structures, facilities, pipelines, equipment, surface areas, and elevations. The Site Surveyor provides reliable survey data to support design, construction, maintenance, and as-built documentation while ensuring compliance with company standards and HSE requirements.<br>Roles & Responsibilities Conduct field surveys using 3D laser scanners and other surveying instruments. Measure and record site dimensions, including surface areas, elevations, clearances, structures, equipment locations, and pipeline alignments. Capture accurate spatial and dimensional data for industrial facilities, pipelines, and associated infrastructure. Establish and verify survey control points and benchmarks. Process, validate, and organize survey and point cloud data for engineering and design teams. Prepare survey reports, measurement records, and as-built documentation. Verify site conditions against engineering drawings and identify discrepancies. Support engineering, construction, maintenance, and inspection teams with accurate survey information. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure survey activities are completed safely and efficiently. Ensure surveying equipment is calibrated, maintained, and operated in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Comply with company HSE policies and applicable site safety procedures. Travel to project sites and remote locations as required.<br>Qualifications High School Diploma or Technical Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field. Key Responsibilities:Conduct topographical surveys, control point establishment, and site boundary verifications for site preparation and mass earthworks. Set out grid lines, levels, and slopes for excavation, backfilling, compaction, and grading operations. Perform regular progress survey measurements to generate volume calculations (cut and fill) and updated surface models. Operate and maintain high-precision surveying equipment including GPS/GNSS, Total Stations, and Digital Levels. Prepare survey reports, cross-sections, and spatial data submittals for consultant approvals and client verification. Qualifications & Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering. Ensure accurate record keeping and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle.<br>General Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and internal project teams. Prepare clear, concise and accurate commercial reports for senior management and clients. Contribute to project governance and commercial best practice across the PMC commission. Maintain compliance with Knight Frank policies, client procedures and industry standards. Support junior members of the commercial team through mentoring and knowledge sharing. Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams to achieve successful project outcomes. Demonstrate a commitment to quality, professionalism and exceptional client service.<br>Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline. Professional membership of RICS (MRICS) or working towards chartership is highly desirable. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within consultancy, PMC or cost consultancy environments. Demonstrable experience across both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities. Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including FIDIC. Experience preparing BOQs, cost plans, tender documentation and procurement strategies. Extensive experience managing valuations, variations, claims, final accounts and cost reporting. Excellent commercial awareness and contract administration skills. Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving abilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Experience working on major building or mixed-use projects within the GCC is highly desirable.
