The project integrates up to 4 GW of renewable energy and is scheduled to commence operations in 2026.<br>Position Summary The Plant Computing Senior Engineer is responsible for the operation, support, and optimization of plant computing systems, with a focus on Aspen Tech solutions, operational technology (OT) systems, OT infrastructure, and IT/OT integration. The role ensures the reliability, availability, and cybersecurity of critical operational systems supporting production and engineering activities. Working closely with operations, engineering, IT teams, and external vendors, the successful candidate will troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and contribute to projects that improve plant performance and digitalization.<br>Key Responsibilities:<br>System Management & Support Operate, maintain, and support plant computing systems, including Aspen Tech solutions, SIMATIC, GE Vernova Advanced Energy Management System (E-Terra Habitat), and other engineering tools. Establish and maintain clear operating procedures for plant movement, sanitation, propagation, and waste handling. Ensure alignment between research, production, and operational teams on biosecurity protocols.<br>2. Monitoring & Compliance<br>Set up inspection and monitoring schedules for plant health, hygiene, and pest management. Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and traceability systems for plant material, suppliers, and sanitation activities. Coordinate internal reviews, audits, and corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance with internal standards and external requirements.<br>3. Training & Awareness<br>Develop and deliver training programs for staff on plant health, biosecurity, hygiene, and traceability. Promote awareness and accountability across teams to foster a proactive culture of biosecurity.<br>4. Continuous Improvement & Reporting<br>Analyze plant health and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations on biosecurity performance for R&D and management teams. Support trials, evaluations, and R&D initiatives that contribute to improved plant resilience and production practices.<br>4. Collaboration & Liaison<br>Work closely with production, research, and facilities teams to align practices and share insights. Liaise with plant health authorities, certification bodies, and industry partners as needed.<br>Qualifications & Experience:<br>Essential:<br>Bachelor’s degree in: plant pathology, horticulture, plant science, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years’ experience in a nursery, greenhouse, or horticultural production environment. Pest and Disease Management Experience: The ability to accurately identify, monitor, and manage various plant pests, diseases, and weeds is crucial. This includes knowledge of different control methods (organic, biological, and chemical) and the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Biosecurity Protocols & Hygiene Experience: A deep understanding and strict adherence to nursery hygiene practices and biosecurity protocols Experience implementing: management systems or procedural frameworks (quality, safety, or environmental). Strong writing and documentation skills for procedure and policy development.<br>Desirable<br>Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Clear communication is vital for educating staff and landowners on best practices, collaborating with team members, and liaising with government agencies or clients.
