Apply today.</p><p><strong>Construction Supervision &amp; Inspection</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise all drainage-related construction activities to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.</li><li>Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and environmental standards.</li><li>Review and verify construction methodologies, work procedures, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and method statements.</li><li>Conduct regular site inspections and audits of drainage works including:<ul><li>Stormwater networks</li><li>Reinforced concrete drainage structures</li><li>Box culverts</li><li>Pipe culverts</li><li>Open channels</li><li>Catch pits and manholes</li><li>Headwalls and outfalls</li><li>Retention and detention facilities</li></ul></li><li>Ensure proper installation, alignment, levels, and workmanship of drainage infrastructure.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Oversight</strong></p><ul><li>Review drainage shop drawings and contractor submissions.</li><li>Verify compliance with approved designs, local authority requirements, and international engineering standards.</li><li>Review requests for information (RFIs), technical queries, material approvals, and engineering proposals submitted by contractors.</li><li>Identify construction issues and provide practical engineering solutions to maintain project progress.</li><li>Coordinate with design teams where design clarifications or modifications are required.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality Assurance &amp; Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.</li><li>Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning activities associated with drainage systems.</li><li>Review material testing reports and verify compliance with specifications.</li><li>Ensure all drainage works are completed to required quality standards prior to acceptance.</li><li>Review and verify as-built records and project documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>Stakeholder Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Coordinate closely with Resident Engineers, Civil Engineers, Highway Engineers, Utility Engineers, Surveyors, and HSE teams.</li><li>Interface with contractors, subcontractors, local authorities, utility providers, and client representatives.</li><li>Participate in technical meetings, progress meetings, and site coordination workshops.</li><li>Support the resolution of construction and interface issues affecting project delivery.</li></ul><p><strong>Progress Monitoring &amp; Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor progress of drainage construction activities against project schedules.</li><li>Identify risks, delays, and potential claims related to drainage works.</li><li>Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, NCRs, snagging lists, and progress updates.</li><li>Assist senior project leadership in tracking construction performance and project milestones.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Professional Engineering registration or membership with a recognized engineering institution is preferred. Additional qualifications in water engineering, stormwater management, or infrastructure design are advantageous. Minimum 15 years of professional experience in civil engineering and drainage infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience in construction supervision and site management of drainage works. Previous Middle East experience is highly preferred. Experience working on projects for major government authorities and transportation agencies is advantageous.
