In this role you will get to support the development and implementation of the design strategy from concept to completion, managing multidisciplinary design efforts and ensuring technical alignment with overall project goals.</p><p><strong>What You'll Be Doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Support the development and implementation of the project design strategy from concept to completion, providing technical guidance during the construction phase.</li><li>Oversee the design work of consultants and contractors to ensure all project activities are executed to the highest standards of safety and quality.</li><li>Review and approve project designs across all engineering disciplines to guarantee compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Work closely with Project Managers and Directors to resolve problems related to construction, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity.</li><li>Coordinate scheduling and project interactions among third-party design consultants, clients, and local stakeholders.</li><li>Integrate competing or conflicting project elements into the planning and execution processes to maintain a smooth workflow.</li><li>Support the establishment of the Project Design Management Plan, Project Execution Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan.</li><li>Develop, implement, and manage project design briefs, key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliverables for the design team.</li><li>Administer value management and value engineering activities, ensuring design solutions incorporate constructability, environmental, and sustainability considerations.</li><li>Partner with project engineers and discipline leads to develop, monitor, and manage budgets, schedules, and change orders.</li><li>Device and execute action plans with key project personnel to rectify potential cost overruns, delays, or significant changes to the scope of work.</li><li>Monitor and report to senior management on the progress of all design activities, including significant milestones, cost impacts, and schedule conditions.</li><li>Establish weekly design management team meetings to review project status and formulate actionable items.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical or business field.</li><li>15+ years of related engineering and design management experience on large-scale programs.</li><li>10+ years of experience working directly within a construction and design execution environment.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, codes, procedural requirements, and regulatory approval processes.</li><li>Proven ability to manage, mentor, and lead large, multidisciplinary teams of design professionals.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with third-party design consultants and function effectively in a multi-organizational environment.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports, correspondence, and client presentations.</li><li>Experience in the management of international design consultants.</li><li>Professional registration or certification (such as AIA, RIBA, CEng, PE, LEED, or similar).</li></ul>
