SAS Platform Developer & Application Support Engineer Work Location : Saudi Arabia Experience : 4–8 Years Notice Period : Immediate to maximum 1 month<br>Role Overview We are looking for a SAS Platform Developer & Application Support Engineer with strong hands-on experience in the SAS 8.4 analytical platform. The role combines SAS development, data engineering, platform administration, application support, and production troubleshooting. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the SAS platform, developing reliable SAS programs and ETL workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting data scientists, risk analysts, and business users. Provide L2/L3 technical support to data scientists, risk analysts, business users, and application teams. Manage SAS users, roles, access permissions, and environment configurations. Support configuration and maintenance of SAS development, testing, and production environments. Coordinate with infrastructure, database, application, and vendor teams for issue resolution. Perform incident analysis, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for recurring production issues. Support application deployments, scheduled jobs, batch processing, and production releases. Ensure platform availability, stability, and performance in accordance with operational requirements.2. SAS Development Design, develop, test, and maintain SAS programs, macros, data workflows, and ETL processes. Develop efficient solutions using Base SAS, SAS Macro, PROC SQL, and other relevant SAS procedures. Extract, transform, validate, and load data from multiple relational databases and other data sources. Develop SAS datasets and analytical data models to support business and risk reporting requirements. Review and optimize existing/legacy SAS code to improve performance, scalability, and execution efficiency. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive data-processing activities. Develop and maintain reusable SAS macros and standardized data-processing components. Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.3. Automation & Scheduling Automate recurring data-processing and operational activities using Unix/Linux shell scripting and scheduling tools. Monitor scheduled/batch SAS jobs and proactively address failures. Support job scheduling, dependencies, restart/recovery procedures, and batch execution. Production Support & Troubleshooting Provide timely resolution of production incidents involving SAS applications, data, interfaces, and batch processes. Perform impact analysis and communicate technical findings clearly to stakeholders. Maintain appropriate technical documentation, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
