<p><b>Job Purpose</b>: The Quality Specialist includes mortality and morbidity reviews, focused reviews of practice and documentation, data collection and ownership and oversight of performance improvement project across the Fakeeh Health Care facility. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Clinical Reviews: Conducts detailed chart reviews for mortality and for morbidity triggers as delineated in both mortality review and morbidity review policies. Work Location Home-based with possible official travel - Riyadh, KSA Expected duration 07.09 to 30.09.2026 Duties and Responsibilities The three (3) consultants will work under the direct supervision of the OGCCR Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer deployed at the NAUSS Centre, and under the overall guidance of the Representative for the GCC Region. Each consultant will be expected to perform the following tasks: 1. Prepare and deliver specialized lectures and academic sessions under the Higher Diploma in Drug Control programme in the consultant s area of expertise. 2. Develop and adapt lecture materials, presentations, and supporting resources aligned with the objectives and structure of the diploma programme. 3. Provide technical and subject-matter input to support the development and delivery of course content in line with international standards and relevant methodologies. 4. Develop examination materials, including assessment questions and tools, related to the assigned sessions, in accordance with academic standards. 5. Review, assess, and evaluate examination scripts and/or assignments, and provide structured grading and feedback to participants. 6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of course content and delivery approaches based on teaching experience, participant engagement, and feedback. Qualifications/special skills Advanced university degree (Master s or equivalent) in toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, medicine, criminology, behavioral sciences, public health, statistics, data analysis, economics, public policy, or another relevant field is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with an additional two (2) years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. At least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience in drug treatment, toxicology, addiction treatment, rehabilitation, social reintegration, public health, research, statistical analysis or related fields, is required. Experience in delivering academic or professional training, including curriculum development and lecture delivery is required. Knowledge in the field of drug control, particularly the international regime on both drug control and crime prevention (conventions, standards and norms), is desirable. Experience in delivering training and/or technical assistance in the GCC and or the MENA region is desirable. Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
