This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in medical planning and healthcare facility design. <h3 >Role Purpose</h3> The Medical Planner will lead comprehensive medical planning and space programming for a range of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers. This role involves translating complex clinical workflows into efficient, patient-centered designs that adhere to stringent industry standards and regulatory requirements. <h3 >Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul > <li >Lead medical planning and space programming for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers.</li> <li >Develop functional layouts for clinical departments such as Operating Rooms (OR), Intensive Care Units (ICU), Imaging, Emergency Departments, Outpatient Clinics, Inpatient Units, Laboratories, and Administrative Areas.</li> <li >Collaborate with clinicians, hospital administrators, architects, engineers, and consultants to translate clinical workflows into efficient and patient-centered designs.</li> <li >Prepare space programs, adjacency diagrams, room data sheets, and departmental planning documentation.</li> <li >Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare design standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements, including NFPA, ADA, JCIA, and local healthcare regulations.</li> <li >Coordinate medical equipment planning with architectural, MEP, and engineering teams.</li> <li >Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure alignment with healthcare planning requirements.</li> <li >Participate in all project phases from concept design through schematic, detailed design, construction documentation, site coordination, and commissioning.</li> <li >Support design reviews, technical workshops, and client presentations.</li> <li >Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize healthcare facility functionality, patient safety, operational efficiency, and future flexibility.</li> </ul> <h3 >Minimum Qualifications</h3> <ul > <li >Proven experience in space programming and planning for hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare facilities.</li> <li >Strong knowledge of healthcare design standards, including NFPA 99, ADA, JCIA, and applicable local healthcare regulations.</li> <li >Familiarity with medical equipment planning software and data-driven space planning tools.</li> <li >Ability to interpret clinical workflows and develop efficient, code-compliant healthcare facility layouts.</li> <li >Good understanding of healthcare MEP coordination, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.</li> <li >Professional certification or specialized training in healthcare facility planning or healthcare design guidelines is an advantage.</li> </ul> <h3 >Required Skills</h3> <ul > <li >Excellent communication skills.</li> <li >Strong stakeholder management abilities.</li> <li >Proficiency in presentation skills.</li> <li >Effective multidisciplinary coordination skills.</li> </ul> <h3 >Work Environment</h3> This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active participation within a collaborative and multidisciplinary project team.</div>
