This full-time role is integral to supporting the daily operations of the unit/department and contributing to the delivery of safe, patient and family-focused quality care.</p> <h3 >Role Overview</h3>
<p >The Patient Care Technician provides direct assistance to patients, ensuring their personal needs are met and contributing to a positive patient experience. This role involves monitoring patient activities, recording vital information, and supporting clinical staff in various patient care tasks within an outpatient setting.</p> <h3 >Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul >
<li >Contribute to achieving clinical quality outcome indicators, including patient satisfaction.</li>
<li >Uphold and apply organizational values in providing quality patient care.</li>
<li >Provide direct assistance to patients with personal hygiene needs, including bed baths/showering, dressing/undressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.</li>
<li >Assist patients with eating and drinking, ensuring fresh water is available.</li>
<li >Support patient movement and handling, including re-positioning bedridden patients and mobilization.</li>
<li >Monitor patient activities and report all patient-related information to the Staff Nurse I / Staff Nurse II (SNl/SNll) accurately, appropriately, and in a timely manner, including unusual occurrences.</li>
<li >Measure and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, oxygen saturation, food and fluid intake and output, height, and weight as directed, informing the SNl/SNll of any abnormal recordings.</li>
<li >Accurately measure, empty, and document the content of urinary catheters and drains.</li>
<li >Document all relevant information correctly, appropriately, and in a timely manner.</li>
<li >Receive patients for admission and orientate them to the room/unit and services.</li>
<li >Prepare patients for procedures as directed, assist the physician, and remain with the patient if required.</li>
<li >Collect specimens such as urine, feces, or sputum as directed.</li>
<li >Provide comfort measures such as back care, head, foot, and hand massage as needed.</li>
<li >Assist patients with preparations for prayer if needed.</li>
