The Expert Rapid Ranger System Engineer will support the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Department ) and the (Claint) during the maintenance contract<br>Responsibilities : Actively advising and assisting in all aspects of his specialty. Monitoring and analyzing factors that affect operational availability, RAPIDRanger system performance, support chain performance, and recommending/implementing corrective actions locally but also with the team located in UK. Evaluating performance of RAPIDRanger systems, data handling and communication equipment. Monitoring the Built-In Test equipment\software, analyze the results and recommend improvements. This is to provide an independent route to address any issues within the Personal Survival Pack shop maintenance environment.</p><p>Undertake review of maintenance and challenge current practices and identify potential capacity for improvements within the organisation.</p><p>Recognising any malpractice that could affect the airworthiness or safety of the assigned components or personnel within their area of responsibility and raising the issue/concern to the Senior Maintenance Manager.</p><p>Ensuring that the necessary facilities resource are available, in accordance with company policies to enable their organisations to perform their duties and any contractual obligations.</p><p>Monitor standards of the personnel within their organisation in order to identify any negative trends, non-conformities or motivational deficiencies.</p><p>Accountable and responsible for all person s development reports within their direct and indirect line management, within their Area of Responsibility.</p><p>Providing a working environment to trust, where all employees of whom are professionals, each have a clear understanding of what standard of behaviour is considered acceptable or unacceptable, following the companies Code of Conduct .</p><p>Provide training, consolidation and counterpart development activities to the RSAF personnel and BAE Systems personnel.</p><p>Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes to support Forward Maintenance and SMU activities.</p><p>Maintain operational readiness of shop equipment in line with the shop component repair plan and schedule necessary calibrations. Enhanced by ensuring the correct tooling, approved data is available.</p><p>Raise appropriate media for deficiencies in approved data (e.g. TPRFs, TQs, etc.). Any damage or deficiencies to equipment and infrastructure, are reported and monitored using the correct media (e.g. IDR, MDR, CAR, SORT, 1400-61, etc.).</p><p>Ensure that all personnel undertaking maintenance in their Area of Responsibility are authorised.</p><p>Maintain an anti-FOD surveillance and report potential hazards, which is further enhanced by the regular oversight checks of the shop and the components in the shop.</p><p>Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out and meet the highest quality standards, including recording of maintenance carried out on the airworthiness tool (ESS) to accurately reflect the work carried out, test results indications/ values, consumables and POL.</p><p>Conduct oversight checks to ensure high standards of shop husbandry.</p><p>Ensure any forecasted planning, highlight any deficiencies or delivery/ FDD issues with consumables &amp; PPE are escalated to the primary line manager or secondary manager at the earliest opportunity.</p><p>Maintain competency currency for Martin Baker personal survival pack authorisations.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&amp;CA.</li><li>Have at least 7 years post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type.</li><li>Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel.</li><li>Hold 2nd signature.</li><li>The successful candidate, Saudi or Expatriate must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level, prior to starting the new role or commencing employment in KSA, SCE membership must be maintained throughout their employment in this role.</li><li>Thorough understanding of company processes and procedures</li><li>Broad aerospace and defence company / industry knowledge.</li><li>Proven supervisory experience within the area of definition.</li><li>An understanding of RAF and /or RSAF engineering operating procedures.</li><li>A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.</li><li>Previous experience of delivering work place training.</li><li>An understanding of ESS or similar electronic based reporting system.</li><li>Martin Baker Qualification.</li></ul>
