<h3 >About the Role</h3> <p >Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group is seeking a <strong >CSSD Technician</strong> for a full-time position. This role involves performing routine technical tasks within the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), ensuring strict adherence to JCIA/CBAHI Standards. The technician will be responsible for the entire process from receiving contaminated items to the distribution of sterile supplies.</p> <h3 >Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul > <li >Receive all used contaminated items from assigned areas.</li> <li >Decontaminate received items manually and mechanically using ultrasonic cleaners and automated cart washers.</li> <li >Assemble and pack instrument sets using appropriate packaging materials and techniques.</li> <li >Label prepared packages correctly.</li> <li >Load and unload sterilizers properly.</li> <li >Perform daily testing of sterilizers, including warm-up cycles, Bowie and Dick tests, Spore tests, and leak tests.</li> <li >Store sterilized sets and items appropriately until needed.</li> <li >Transport and deliver sterile packages to units correctly.</li> <li >Perform disinfecting processes as required by policy and procedure.</li> <li >Adhere to infection control requirements by consistently using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</li> <li >Demonstrate understanding and awareness of asepsis principles throughout all processing stages.</li> <li >Demonstrate understanding of quality control through the use of chemical indicators.</li> <li >Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.</li> <li >Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.</li> </ul> <h3 >Equipment Operation</h3> <p >The CSSD Technician must be able to handle and operate the following machines and equipment:</p> <ul > <li >Ultrasonic Machine</li> <li >Incubator</li> <li >Washer Disinfector</li> <li >Sealing Device</li> <li >Steam Sterilizer</li> </ul> <h3 >Team Collaboration and Development</h3> <ul > <li >Mentor and precept new staff members.</li> <li >Participate in conducting education and training sessions.</li> <li >Act as CSSD Supervisor during their absence.</li> <li >Assist the Supervisor in evaluating and monitoring staff performance.</li> <li >Perform all delegated tasks assigned by the Supervisor within the scope of competency.</li> </ul> <h3 >Qualifications and Experience</h3> <p >Candidates should possess <strong >2-5 years of experience</strong> in a relevant field.
