Responsible for the professional and cost-effective running of the Housekeeping department achieving high standards of cleanliness for guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas within the hotel. Prepare weekly staffing schedules, monitoring staff attendance and labour planning to meet with activity in the Hotel so as to maintain cost effectiveness. Maintain an accurate and proper inventory of all stocks, guest supplies, linens etc to prevent pilferage or loss of any nature Build, develop and drive Housekeeping ambassadors to assist in achieving the Hotel deliverables, and ensure the team are highly engaged. This includes responsible and sustainable recruitment, training and development plans for all ambassadors, open and honest feedback to ambassadors, and engagement strategies. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, role is responsible for ensuring their department s communication to broader hotel is clear, concise and respectful. Role is also responsible for ensuring departments performance is aligned with the hotel s strategic goals. Role also plays an important part of forming and executing the hotel s strategic plan with the General Manager and working with the Senior Leadership team to drive overall hotel s performance. This also includes high level assistance during emergency situations and adherence to Emergency Communications procedures. Provide required month end reports and data for General Manager and Finance. Ensure that the control and replenishment of the hotel room mini-bar is properly recorded and stock is controlled in line with Sofitel policies and procedures Prepare various monthly reports and submit them to the General Manager.
