This position supports asset handover, operational readiness and the transition into steady-state operations by ensuring that defects do not compromise safety, statutory compliance, maintainability, service continuity or user/guest experience.</p><p>What you'll be doing:</p><ul><li>Deliver day-to-day DLP and snagging engineering support across assigned assets, ensuring defects, incomplete works and operational readiness issues are clearly identified, technically assessed, logged, prioritised and progressed towards closure.</li><li>Conduct and participate in inspections, joint walkthroughs, snagging reviews, defect verification visits and close-out validation with project teams, consultants, contractors, service providers and internal operations stakeholders.</li><li>Maintain accurate defect and snag registers, ensuring each item has clear ownership, engineering description, priority, target date, status, supporting evidence, escalation route and formal close-out record.</li><li>Monitor DLP obligations and contractor performance from a technical perspective, including rectification progress, recurring defects, response times, quality of repair, warranty issues and outstanding liabilities, escalating concerns to the DLP & Snagging Manager as required.</li><li>Support asset handover and operational readiness by technically reviewing handover documentation, O&M manuals, asset registers, warranties, test records, training records, permits, compliance documentation and defect close-out evidence prior to acceptance into operations.</li><li>Use CAFM/CMMS systems, snagging platforms, dashboards and reporting tools to control defect data, track progress, maintain evidence and provide accurate status and performance reporting.</li><li>Assess defects and snags from an operational and engineering risk perspective, ensuring safety, statutory compliance, asset reliability, accessibility, maintainability, service continuity and user/guest experience impacts are understood and addressed.</li><li>Coordinate with internal stakeholders including hard services, soft services, roads, landscaping, utilities, mobility, public realm, security, events, FM service partners and project delivery teams to resolve cross-functional defects and interface issues.</li><li>Contribute to governance reviews, readiness meetings, risk reporting, contractor performance discussions, commercial challenge, CAPEX/OPEX clarification and lessons learned relating to defects, warranty and handover quality.</li><li>Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and site-based resources, promoting disciplined close-out, accurate reporting, evidence-based decision making and continuous improvement in DLP and snagging management.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Civil), Facilities Management, Construction Management, Asset Management, Project Management or a related discipline. Minimum 6 years experience in construction completion, asset handover, DLP management, snagging, facilities management, operations readiness or O&M, including responsibility for technical assessment and resolution of defects. Demonstrable experience coordinating contractors, consultants or service providers through defect identification, technical rectification, evidence capture, close-out governance, warranty management and SLA/KPI reporting. Job Purpose The Operation and Process Manager is responsible for managing daily plant operation and process performance to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant operation in line with contractual requirements, environmental regulations, approved procedures, and performance targets.<br>Key Responsibilities:Manage daily operation of all treatment units, including inlet works, biological treatment, clarification, filtration, disinfection, sludge treatment, and TSE systems. Ensure continuous plant availability, stable process performance, and compliance with design and contractual requirements. Monitor key process parameters, TSE quality and beneficial sludge quality. Analyze operational and laboratory data, identify process deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Optimize aeration, chemical dosing, sludge wasting, disinfection, energy consumption, and overall process efficiency. Coordinate with operation, laboratory, maintenance, HSE, and reporting teams to ensure smooth plant performance. Review daily operation logs, shift reports, laboratory results, and monthly performance reports. Support performance tests, reliability tests, capacity tests, and contractual compliance assessments. Supervise sludge and by-product management, including sludge production, dewatering, drying, storage, and disposal coordination. Ensure compliance with environmental standards, TSE quality limits, HSE requirements, and internal procedures. Lead and support process engineer, and operators. Prepare technical reports, process trends, root cause analysis, non-compliance justifications, and improvement plans. Communicate professionally with the client, and internal management when required.<br>Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operation. Minimum 3-5 years in a senior operation, process, or managerial role. Strong experience in municipal wastewater treatment plants, preferably large-scale projects. Experience in PPP / O&M contractual environments is preferred.<br>Required Skills:Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, biological treatment, disinfection, and sludge management. Ability to analyze process data, laboratory results, trends, and operational KPIs. Good knowledge of SCADA, reporting systems, compliance requirements, and plant performance monitoring. Strong leadership, communication, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
