Job Title: Site Engineer – Asphalt Operations Department: Asphalt Laying Job Category: Asphalt Operations Location: Qiddiya Reports To: Pavement Manager Availability: Immediately Required<br>Job Purpose The Site Engineer – Asphalt Operations is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing aggregate base and asphalt paving activities in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and the construction schedule. The role ensures that all pavement works are delivered to the required quality standards, line, level, thickness, and compaction requirements while maintaining safe working practices, optimizing resources, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. Key Responsibilities<br>Planning & Execution Plan, organize, and supervise daily aggregate base course and asphalt paving operations in accordance with the approved construction program. Verify site readiness prior to paving activities, including subgrade preparation, survey setting-out, levels, priming, tack coat application, and surface acceptance. Coordinate with the asphalt plant, logistics, and construction teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply and continuous paving operations. Monitor and control paving activities, including paving temperatures, screed settings, layer thickness, longitudinal and transverse joints, rolling patterns, and compaction. Supervise aggregate base laying activities, ensuring compliance with moisture content, grading, density, compaction, and dimensional tolerances.<br>Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and quality standards. Coordinate with Survey, QA/QC, and laboratory personnel to facilitate inspections, field testing, and verification of line, level, thickness, and compaction. Identify quality deviations and implement immediate corrective actions while reporting significant non-conformities to the Pavement Manager. Ensure all testing and inspection records are accurately maintained and readily available for client and consultant review.<br>Resource & Site Management Supervise and manage site personnel, subcontractors, equipment, and material utilization to maximize productivity and operational efficiency. Coordinate daily work activities to achieve production targets while minimizing delays and material wastage. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance requirements to avoid operational interruptions.<br>Progress Monitoring & Reporting Maintain accurate daily site records, including executed quantities, asphalt tonnage, manpower, equipment utilization, weather conditions, delays, and site activities.
