<p >BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor for providing equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia, is seeking a <strong >Full-time Engine Maintenance Technician</strong>. This role is based in <strong >Dhahran</strong> and offers a <strong >competitive salary</strong>. The company supports the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and the development of Saudi National capability.</p> <h3 >Role Purpose</h3>
<p >The Engine Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the rectification and recovery of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Tornado fleet to serviceable status. This position plays a critical role in maintaining an active flying program through effective and efficient maintenance and production of RB199 engines.</p> <h3 >Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul >
<li >Maintain good engineering practices and ensure compliance with RSAF Technical Orders in all aspects of jet engine work and aircraft maintenance.</li>
<li >Perform comprehensive component maintenance, including inspection, surveys, evaluation, installation, repairs, troubleshooting, servicing, overhaul, modification, and on-aircraft system testing.</li>
<li >Ensure all work is carried out in strict accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).</li>
<li >Implement strict tool control procedures.</li>
<li >Manage spare parts requirements using the GOLDesp logistics system.</li>
<li >Provide functional guidance to Saudi National Technical Training Program (SNTTP) initiatives regarding engineering issues.</li>
<li >Execute Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) and Special Inspections as directed.</li>
<li >Conduct visual inspections of engines.</li>
<li >Action work orders for unscheduled issues identified during maintenance using the GOLDesp system.</li>
<li >Manage and maintain accurate daily work recording diaries.</li>
<li >Provide up-to-date briefings and information on daily progress and any issues affecting ongoing maintenance activities to relevant parties.</li>
<li >Support and provide input to on-site Rolls Royce personnel for raising Technical Queries (TQs), Defect Data Reports (DDRs), and maintenance activities.</li>
<li >Ensure personal authorizations for all conducted maintenance activities remain current.</li>
<li >Utilise knowledge and experience in aircraft maintenance, quality assurance, logistical support, and company procedures.</li>
<li >Provide Line Technical Support to the RSAF on engineering matters.</li>
</ul> <h3 >Qualifications and Experience</h3>
<p >Candidates should possess <strong >5-10 years of relevant experience</strong> and meet the following criteria:</p>
<ul >
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> A recognised qualification to NVQ/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> Substantial post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training.</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> A quality-minded, mature individual with a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues.</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> Demonstrated sound oral and written two-way communication skills, with the ability to be tactful, discreet, and confident at all levels.</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> Ability to work effectively in a mixed workforce (Expatriate/Saudi National).</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> Ability to work on own initiative to resolve complex technical issues.</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health and safety, and proactive hazard analysis, appropriate to the role.</li>
<li ><strong >Essential:</strong> Successful candidates (Saudi or Expatriate) must obtain and maintain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level prior to commencing employment in KSA.</li>
