Accommodation Specialist (Freelance Contract) Location: Khobar & Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Contract Type: Freelance Duration: 7 Months Start Date: ASAP<br>About the Role We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Specialist to support the delivery of accommodation services for a large-scale international sporting event. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating hotel bookings, managing room allocations, maintaining accommodation records, and ensuring a seamless accommodation experience for all accredited stakeholders.<br>The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple accommodation requests while working closely with hotels, suppliers, and internal operational teams.<br>Key Responsibilities Manage accommodation bookings and room allocations for workforce, officials, VIPs, contractors, and other accredited stakeholders. Maintain accurate accommodation databases, rooming lists, occupancy reports, and reservation records. Liaise with hotels and accommodation providers regarding bookings, amendments, cancellations, and availability. Coordinate arrivals, departures, special requests, and last-minute accommodation changes. Monitor room inventory and ensure accommodation plans align with operational requirements. Resolve accommodation-related issues efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Support hotel inspections, room block management, and operational readiness activities. Work closely with transport, accreditation, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless guest movement. Prepare accommodation reports and provide regular updates to management. Ensure accommodation procedures comply with event operational standards and timelines. Provide on-site accommodation support during event operations, including weekends and extended working hours when required.<br>Requirements Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.3+ years of experience in accommodation, hospitality, hotel operations, travel management, or event operations. Previous experience supporting major sporting events, exhibitions, conferences, or large-scale projects is highly desirable. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accommodation or hotel management systems is an advantage. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
