The role supports the Engineering team in ensuring that all mechanical installations and equipment operate safely, reliably, and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of hotel operations and guest experience.<br><br>Duties & Responsibilities<br><br>Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical equipment and systems. Maintain pumps, motors, valves, compressors, water systems, and other mechanical equipment. Identify mechanical faults and carry out necessary corrective maintenance in a timely manner. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and technical issues from guest areas and hotel departments. Conduct regular inspections of plant rooms, mechanical areas, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders accurately and on time. Assist with the installation, replacement, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment when required. Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities, defects, or potential failures to the Engineering Supervisor. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures, hotel standards, and applicable regulations. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing. Assist other Engineering team members with maintenance activities and operational requirements when necessary. Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives within the Engineering department. Follow proper procedures for handling spare parts, materials, and engineering supplies. Respond to emergency maintenance situations and support the Engineering team in restoring operations safely and efficiently. Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering management.<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field. Previous experience as a Mechanic Technician or in a similar mechanical maintenance role. Hospitality, resort, or large facility maintenance experience is preferred. Good knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, valves, and associated equipment. Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices. Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements. Territory: Saudi Arabia and UAE<br>The Site Engagement Manager (SEM) is responsible for providing operational expertise to sites through ownership/management of Site Engagement Strategy. The role oversees the Crewing Duty Supervisor, Crew Controllers, and Crew Logistics Coordinators during shift operations, ensuring that qualified crew are assigned in accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies, operational procedures, and published rosters. Through our landmark joint ventures with highly regarded Saudi resource companies, and our own targeted exploration prospects, we are developing a new benchmark for resource development while also actively contributing to the development of the resource sector in Saudi.<br>Role Description:The Manager Health, Safety & Risk is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining Midana Exploration Company’s (MEC) enterprise risk management, health and safety, operational risk, major hazard, crisis and emergency management frameworks as the Company develops its exploration, project and future operating activities in KSA.<br>Responsibilities:Enterprise Risk Management & Governance Develop, implement and maintain MEC’s enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, policy, standards, risk appetite/tolerance approach, governance processes and enterprise risk register, appropriate to a growing mining company. Establish consistent risk identification, assessment, treatment, escalation, monitoring and reporting processes across strategic, financial, operational, project, regulatory, HSE and other material business risks, including processes for identifying and escalating emerging risks and changes in the Company’s risk profile. Facilitate executive and functional risk reviews; provide clear risk reporting, trend analysis and material risk advice to the CEO, leadership team and relevant governance forums. Establish assurance, action tracking and records processes that demonstrate effective implementation and continuous improvement of risk controls.<br>Health & Safety Management Develop, implement and maintain MEC’s health and safety management system, policies, standards, procedures and assurance processes for corporate, exploration, project, field and future operating activities. Provide leadership and technical advice on legal & other H&S obligations, contractor management, occ. health, field safety, training, competency & safety performance Develop, implement and maintain MEC’s incident management framework and processes, including notification, classification, escalation, investigation, regulatory reporting, corrective actions, lessons learned and verification of action effectiveness. Lead or provide oversight of investigations into significant and high-potential incidents and ensure material events are appropriately communicated and escalated to MEC leadership, JV partners and HPPL, as applicable. Lead or coordinate structured hazard and risk assessments, including bowtie or equivalent critical control analysis, and establish clear critical control ownership, performance requirements, verification and assurance arrangements. Ensure major hazard risks are considered through study, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations and management of change, with emphasis on eliminating or reducing risk through effective higher-order and engineered controls where reasonably practicable. Provide independent challenge and advice on significant operational risk decisions and escalate material control weaknesses or unacceptable exposures to the CEO.<br>Crisis & Emergency Management Develop, implement, test and maintain MEC’s crisis management and emergency management framework, including corporate crisis arrangements, site emergency response requirements, escalation protocols, communications, business continuity and recovery interfaces. Ensure emergency arrangements reflect remote exploration and project environments and foreseeable events including medical emergencies, fire, vehicle incidents, severe weather, security events and major operational incidents. Establish arrangements for the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of geopolitical and security-related crises that could affect MEC personnel, operations, travel, supply chains or business continuity, including regional conflict, civil or political instability, terrorism or security threats, disruption to critical infrastructure and transportation, and restrictions on movement or access. Develop and maintain appropriate crisis response, personnel accountability, travel/security escalation, shelter-in-place, relocation and evacuation arrangements for significant geopolitical or security events, working with MEC leadership, JV partners, HPPL and relevant government, security and specialist service providers as appropriate. Establish exercise, drill, training, equipment-readiness, lessons-learned and improvement programs covering credible emergency and crisis scenarios, including significant geopolitical and security events, and coordinate interfaces with JV partners, contractors, emergency services and relevant authorities. Provide leadership and specialist support during significant incidents, emergencies and crises, including crisis coordination, notification, escalation, executive decision support, communications, transition to investigation, recovery and post-event review activities.<br>JV, Regulatory & Corporate Alignment Represent MEC’s health, safety and risk interests with selected JVs and on relevant steering committees; work collaboratively with JV operators to agree practical standards, reporting, assurance and escalation arrangements. Engage with Saudi regulators, ministries and other authorities on health, safety, risk and emergency management matters, supporting permits, submissions, inspections, reporting and regulatory compliance as required. Ensure MEC systems and activities align, where applicable, with Hancock Prospecting group HSEC, risk, governance and corporate requirements while remaining fit for MEC’s KSA context and JV obligations. Work with Studies & Projects, Exploration, External Affairs, Business Development and other functions to integrate H&S and risk requirements into business planning, project development, contracts, contractor selection and operational readiness. Support local capability development by building H&S and risk competency within MEC teams and relevant contractor/JV interfaces; undertake other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required from time to time.<br>Experience:Minimum 15 years health, safety and risk experience, preferably in mining, minerals, exploration, major projects or other major-hazard industries with demonstrated experience developing, implementing and maintaining enterprise risk management and H&S management frameworks, systems and governance processes. Strong operational risk and major hazard experience, including structured risk assessment, identification and management of major hazard scenarios, critical control management and assurance of material controls with demonstrated experience leading and/or overseeing significant and high-potential incident investigations, including causal analysis, identification of systemic and organisational contributing factors, corrective action development and organisational learning. Demonstrated experience developing, exercising and leading crisis and emergency management arrangements, including response to operational, security and/or geopolitical events in remote, &/or international environments. Experience working with JVs, contractors, senior executives and boards/governance forums, including influencing and establishing effective H&S and risk governance where operational control is shared or held by a partner.
