We are seeking an experienced Plant Labelling Officer to support the accurate identification, documentation, labelling, mapping, and interpretation of living plant collections within a Botanic Garden environment. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate plant labels, collection records, databases, mapping systems, and visitor-facing botanical information. The successful candidate will work closely with botanists, horticulturists, curators, and other technical specialists to ensure plant identities and collection information remain accurate, consistent, and up to date. <br>Key Responsibilities<br><br> Create, install, inspect, update, and maintain plant labels across indoor and outdoor collections. Ensure labels include accurate scientific names, common names, family information, geographic origin, accession details, and other relevant information. Verify botanical nomenclature and taxonomy using recognised botanical references. Conduct regular audits to identify missing, damaged, outdated, duplicated, or inaccurate labels. Coordinate the correction and replacement of plant labels. Work with botanists, horticulturists, curators, and other specialists to verify plant identification. Maintain consistency between physical labels, accession records, databases, maps, and collection-management systems. Manage and update plant-record databases and maintain accurate records of plant accessions, locations, provenance, movements, replacements, and losses. Support plant accessioning and deaccessioning activities. Maintain plant collection mapping systems and conduct field verification of plant locations. Support the integration of plant records with GIS, digital mapping, and collection-management systems. Develop and maintain botanical interpretation and visitor-facing information materials. Translate technical botanical and horticultural information into clear and accessible content. Support digital plant-identification tools, QR-code systems, mobile applications, interactive maps, and digital collection platforms. Conduct quality-control reviews of physical and digital plant information. Support plant inventories and collection audits. Maintain appropriate data-quality, backup, and version-control practices. <br><br><br>Requirements<br><br><br><br> Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Botany, Plant Sciences, Plant Taxonomy, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is advantageous. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily showroom operations, supporting the sales team, achieving sales targets, and ensuring that customers receive a smooth and professional buying experience.<br><br>Responsibilities<br><br>Supervise and manage the daily activities of the showroom sales team to ensure smooth and efficient operations Set daily and monthly sales targets for the sales team and closely monitor performance against KPIsLead, coach, and motivate Sales Officers to achieve individual and team sales targets Monitor customer traffic, leads, follow-ups, conversions, and overall showroom sales performance Ensure customers receive a professional, welcoming, and high-quality experience throughout the buying journey Support the sales team in handling complex customer inquiries, negotiations, complaints, and escalations Ensure that Sales Officers clearly explain vehicle features, specifications, pricing, financing options, and the purchasing process to customers Monitor and support vehicle inspections and test drives, ensuring that all showroom procedures and safety requirements are followed Review and ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer and sales documentation required for the showroom and financing process Support the team in negotiating vehicle prices and trade-in values while ensuring alignment with company pricing and profitability guidelines Coordinate with management, vehicle owners, finance companies, and other internal teams to ensure the timely completion of sales procedures Work closely with the procurement and sales teams regarding vehicle pricing and supplier negotiations to maximize company profitability Track sales pipeline and follow up on pending deals, ensuring opportunities are progressed and closed in a timely manner Analyze sales performance and prepare regular reports on sales results, conversion rates, customer feedback, and team performance Identify areas for improvement and implement actions to increase showroom sales, customer satisfaction, and team productivity Conduct regular team meetings, provide performance feedback, and support the development of Sales Officers through coaching and on-the-job training Ensure compliance with company policies, sales procedures, and customer service standards Follow up with previous customers to ensure satisfaction, encourage customer retention, and address any post-sale concerns Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve customer issues and ensure a smooth post-sale experience Perform any other duties related to showroom sales and operations as assigned by management<br><br>Requirements<br><br>3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the automotive industry, with previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team Strong knowledge of automotive sales, vehicle specifications, pricing, and the car-buying process Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service and relationship-management skills Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving abilities Strong understanding of sales KPIs, targets, conversion rates, and sales performance management Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Proficiency in English is essential Ability to work effectively under pressure and take initiative to achieve business objectives

The position supports salary analysis, compensation benchmarking, benefits administration, salary structures, and Total Rewards reporting while working closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and other relevant functions to ensure accurate and effective compensation and benefits practices. Conduct salary analysis and market benchmarking to assess internal equity and external competitiveness. Additional qualifications or certifications in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, Human Resources, or HR Analytics are an advantage. Good understanding of compensation and benefits principles and practices. Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret compensation data. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Point. Experience with HRMS, payroll systems, HR analytics, and reporting tools is preferred. High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and data accuracy.
