<p >This role serves as Acwa's subject matter expert for SAIS Safety & Fire (SAF) requirements. The Manager will support projects and operational facilities to ensure compliance with applicable industrial safety, fire protection, and firefighting regulations. The position spans the entire project lifecycle, from design and construction through commissioning and operation, providing technical guidance, regulatory oversight, and assurance to project teams, operating companies, consultants, and contractors.</p> <h3 >Key Responsibilities</h3>

<li >Lead the implementation and monitoring of SAIS/HCIS Safety & Fire requirements across Acwa projects and operational facilities.</li>

<li >Review fire protection studies, engineering designs, compliance packages, and project submissions.</li>
<li >Provide oversight of industrial fire protection and firefighting arrangements.</li>
<li >Review fire protection systems, including fire pumps, hydrants, foam systems, fire detection and alarm systems, suppression systems, and passive fire protection.</li>
<li >Support fire hazard assessments, risk analysis, and loss-prevention activities.</li>
<li >Monitor the implementation of SAF requirements throughout project development, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operation.</li>

<li >Track regulatory observations and corrective actions through to closure.</li>

</ul> <h3 >Required Qualifications and Experience</h3>

<li >Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.</li>
<li >5-10 years of strong experience within industrial safety, process safety, fire protection, and/or industrial firefighting.</li>
<li >Practical experience working with HCIS / SAIS Safety & Fire requirements in Saudi Arabia.</li>
<li >Experience within power generation, utilities, water/desalination, oil & gas, petrochemicals, energy, or other critical infrastructure sectors.</li>
<li >Experience supporting industrial facilities during both project and operational phases.</li>
<li >Strong understanding of fire protection systems, fire risk, and firefighting preparedness.</li>
<li >Experience dealing with regulatory and government authorities in Saudi Arabia.</li>
<li >Strong Arabic and English communication skills.</li>
</ul> <h3 >Preferred Qualifications</h3>

<li >Previous experience within a major Saudi industrial organization operating under HCIS/SAIS requirements.</li>
<li >SAIS approval.</li>
