You will lead an established design team while remaining deeply involved in hands-on product design and the highest-impact initiatives. The role spans multiple user groups, requiring intuitive, efficient experiences that address different goals and workflows. You will shape the design function, establish quality standards, and build scalable processes alongside Product and Engineering. Run regular design critiques and provide clear, actionable feedback that strengthens individual capabilities and creates a consistent quality bar across the team. Own and continuously improve the design process, including project scoping, reviews, collaboration, handoff, and measurement. Define future design-team structures, roles, and hiring needs, including portfolio evaluation and recruitment as the organization scales. Act as a key connection point between Design, Product, and Engineering, representing user needs and ensuring design decisions are understood and incorporated into product planning. Remain hands-on as an individual contributor, personally leading the most complex and highest-leverage design initiatives.
