Summary<p><span></span></p><p>Performs a variety of chemical, microscopic, immunological and/or bacteriological testing in the Clinical Laboratory to obtain accurate data for diagnosis and treatment of disease.</p><br><br><br><br>Essential Responsibilities and Duties<p><span></span></p><p>1.Organizes daily work congruent with schedules and work patterns of the subsection/section. Assists section supervisor in the appropriate dissemination of information in inter-shift, inter-sectional, and departmental communication. Ensures optimum levels of supplies are available to provide uninterrupted services; assists in ordering supplies and maintains the supply inventory system. Operates within cost effective practices of section.</p><br><br><p>2.Assists in the evaluation of new methodologies/equipment. Assists in the revision of policy and procedure manuals in accordance with specified guidelines.</p><br><br><p>3.Obtains and processes laboratory specimens. Performs analyses, tests, and procedures. Maintains appropriate laboratory safety procedures and practices.</p><br><br><p>4.Maintains records as per Hospital established Medical Laboratory standards. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment. Maintains Quality Control programs of the section and participates in the Quality Assurance programs of the department.</p><br><br><p>5.Provides ongoing response/feedback to Hospital employee performance appraisal system. <p>Working within the prescribed shifts; performs the activities related to medical reports of patients from all areas assuring the confidentiality of the records, and also clerical services as required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Coordinate the creation, collection, and organization of medical reports, including clinical summaries, diagnostic results, operative reports, discharge summaries, and other relevant patient documentation. 2. Ensure that all medical reports are accurately prepared and comply with hospital standards and regulations. 3. Review medical reports for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, ensuring that all required information is present and properly documented. 4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to rectify any discrepancies or errors in medical reports. 5. Monitor report formatting and ensure that medical reports meet the hospital's standards and regulatory requirements. 6. Ensure proper organization and maintenance of patient records, ensuring all medical documentation is filed in a timely manner and easily accessible. 7. Ensure that medical reports are linked to the correct patient records and that records are updated regularly. 8. Handle and process requests for medical records, ensuring that patient information is provided to authorized individuals or departments, in compliance with hospital privacy policies and healthcare regulations. 9. Maintain the confidentiality of patient medical reports and health information, adhering to hospital privacy policies, data protection laws, and healthcare regulations. 10. Ensure all patient records and medical reports are securely stored and only accessed by authorized personnel. 11. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to the handling of medical documents. 12. Assist in the preparation of reports related to medical records and documentation, such as audit reports, compliance reports, and statistical data for hospital management. 13. Track the progress of medical report preparation and submission to ensure that all reports are completed within designated timelines. 14. Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the medical reporting process, suggesting improvements when necessary.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Education and Certification Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Medical Records, or a related field is required. Necessary Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in similar role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital.
