Under the theme “Foresight for Tomorrow,” the Expo promotes sustainable development, innovation, and transformative thinking. The event will be held from October 2030 to March 2031 and is expected to welcome over 40 million visits.<br><br>The 6 km² Masterplan outlines a comprehensive framework for participation and infrastructure at the Expo. The exhibition space, totaling 491,100 m² GFA, can accommodate up to 197 participating countries and 29 international organizations. Working collaboratively with our customer, Expo 2030 Riyadh Company (ERC), Bechtel will manage the infrastructure program which comprises early works, utilities, and publicly accessible spaces like streets and parks. Our scope on the six-square-kilometer site will transition into a mixed-use legacy development to serve the community after the six-month event is over. The project’s master plan leverages international sustainability standards for urban afforestation, treated water, and energy sources.<br><br>Job Summary<br><br>In this role, you will manage the integration of operational requirements across the planning, design, construction, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness phases of the programme.<br><br>Acting as the primary PMC focal point for operations, you will ensure that operator requirements, event operations, mobility operations, logistics, security, maintenance, customer experience, and venue operations are effectively captured, coordinated, and incorporated into project delivery.<br><br>You will manage operational interfaces between consultants, contractors, operators, authorities, venue teams, and project stakeholders, ensuring that infrastructure, systems, and facilities are developed in a manner that supports safe, efficient, and effective event-time and legacy operations.<br><br>Drawing upon major-event and mega-project experience, you will support the transition from design and construction into testing, commissioning, readiness, and operational delivery, ensuring that operational risks, dependencies, and stakeholder requirements are proactively identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle.<br><br>Major Responsibilities<br><br>Reports to the Engineering Manager/Technical Delivery Manager. The Job Summary The Director – Operations is responsible for directing all aspects of BTC operations, including lease, maintenance, project management, customer experience, logistics and warehousing, ensuring efficiency, productivity, profitability and process optimization; delivering exceptional services to BTC customers; developing and implementing BTC operational strategy and governance in line with business objectives; and optimizing company resources to ensure operational excellence.
