You will ensure that all are delivered to the highest possible standards and to the satisfaction of all parties involved consistently throughout the year. </p><br><p>Reporting to the Head & Senior Operations Managers, the Operations Manager will be responsible together with the Senior Operations Manager for implementing the EMEA Operations objectives. The intention is for the Operations Manager to eventually take full lead on running these streams, with High Level Ministry involvement and communication required. </p><br><p>The Operations Manager should lead by example and demonstrate a professional responsibility to the department at all times. events or exhibition industry experience or similar. </p><br></li></ul><ul><li><p>Must have independently and successfully managed operations on multiple large events to a consistently high standard. </p><br></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience of managing, supporting & developing multiple line reports simultaneously. </p><br></li></ul><ul><li><p>You will possess a good working knowledge of the exhibition industry & venues as well as a great working relationship with all official contractors. </p><br></li></ul><ul><li><p>Effective communication skills – being able to liaise with Operations team members as well as working with & reporting to Director Level individuals throughout the portfolio(s). </p><br></li></ul><ul><li><p>Familiarity with good procurement practices .</p><br></li></ul><ul><li><p>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others, thinking outside the box for creative solutions. </p><br></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead - GPU Infrastructure based in Saudi Arabia.<br><br>This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for architecting and delivering a large-scale GPU infrastructure platform.<br><br>You will lead the evolution from managed Kubernetes workloads toward bare-metal GPU infrastructure, including Slurm-based research computing and Kubernetes-powered inference.<br><br>The role combines deep systems expertise with engineering leadership, team management, and direct ownership of architecture and delivery.<br><br>You will oversee a distributed team spanning backend, frontend, Dev Ops, QA, and documentation while maintaining high technical standards.<br><br>Your work will support research, model training, and managed inference workloads requiring reliable, scalable, and observable GPU compute.<br><br>You will also serve as the primary technical interface with infrastructure partners, hardware providers, and internal platform consumers.<br><br>This is an opportunity to shape the architecture and operational foundations of a sophisticated GPU platform in a fully remote environment.<br><br>Accountabilities<br><br>The Technical Lead will own the platform architecture and engineering delivery while remaining deeply involved in technical decisions, infrastructure operations, team leadership, and partner relationships.<br><br>Own the end-to-end platform architecture, including architecture proposals, high-level and low-level designs, technical reviews, and ongoing architecture documentation. Lead and line-manage a distributed engineering team across backend, frontend, Dev Ops, QA, and documentation. Establish engineering standards, oversee code and design reviews, manage release gates, conduct one-to-ones, and provide growth and performance feedback. Design, build, and operate a managed Slurm service supporting research and model-training workloads. Own Slurm controllers, accounting, partitions, login nodes, node onboarding, acceptance testing, driver and CUDA baselines, upgrades, stalled-job detection, node health, draining, autohealing, storage visibility, identity, and workload isolation. Lead GPU infrastructure operations on bare-metal environments, including NVIDIA drivers, CUDA, Fabric Manager, NVSwitch, DCGM, MIG, node burn-in, and acceptance processes. Own Kubernetes cluster bootstrap and lifecycle on partner-provided bare metal, including NVIDIA GPU Operator and Network Operator. Oversee GPU isolation using technologies such as Kube Virt and VFIO and manage day-two infrastructure operations, upgrades, backup, recovery, and node replacement. Define managed inference architecture covering serving, multi-GPU and multi-node parallelism, autoscaling, request routing, endpoint reliability, and confidential-compute capabilities. Establish observability across the control plane, GPU fleet, and application layers through metrics, logging, alerting, and SLOs. Lead incident response, post-incident reviews, and the development of an on-call model that is sustainable for a lean engineering organization. Act as the primary technical interface with infrastructure partners and vendors, translating requirements into written specifications and acceptance tests. Manage technical escalations with partners through resolution and contribute to capacity planning and hardware sourcing decisions. Work directly with research, model-training, and product teams to translate workloads into platform requirements and manage capacity constraints. Hire and develop members of the platform team while maintaining a high technical bar. Contribute to architecture decisions involving distributed systems, high-performance computing, networking, storage, virtualization, and GPU workloads.<br><br>Requirements<br><br>The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on GPU and infrastructure expertise with proven technical leadership experience. They should be comfortable operating complex production systems, making architecture decisions, leading distributed teams, and remaining close to the code and infrastructure.<br><br>8+ years of hands-on engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading teams responsible for infrastructure platforms used by other teams. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Extensive hands-on experience operating Slurm in production, including slurmctld, slurmdbd, partitions, QoS, priority, accounting, prolog and epilog, node health, and upgrades. Experience operating HPC or GPU training clusters for research or model-development users. Strong experience operating NVIDIA GPU fleets on bare metal, including driver and CUDA lifecycles, Fabric Manager, NVSwitch, DCGM, MIG, node burn-in, and acceptance. Deep knowledge of Infini Band, subnet configuration, RDMA, SR-IOV, and diagnosing multi-node NCCL performance issues. Strong Linux systems expertise, including kernel modules, drivers, PCIe passthrough, vfio-pci, cgroups, namespaces, and performance tuning. Proven production Kubernetes experience covering control planes, upgrades, CNI, CSI, operators, custom controllers, and multi-tenancy. Experience with HPC storage and large-scale data movement, including shared filesystems such as VAST, Lustre, or NFS and node-local NVMe caching. Experience distributing large model weights and datasets across multiple nodes. Strong observability and operations experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or comparable platforms, including SLOs, incident response, and post-incident reviews. Working proficiency in Java Script and Node.js sufficient to review control-plane, CLI, and worker services and make architecture decisions. Experience delivering a multi-tenant Iaa S, Paa S, research computing service, or comparable platform with resource isolation, quotas, usage metering, APIs, and CLI interfaces. Demonstrated people leadership across time zones and the ability to lead cross-functional technical reviews. Strong written architecture and decision-making skills, including documenting alternatives and trade-offs. Confidence communicating technical decisions and respectfully challenging partners or executives when necessary. Excellent written and spoken English. Fully remote availability with a working location between UTC and UTC+5:30 to provide overlap with teams and partners across Europe and India. The role coordinates technical activities between site-based engineers and operations teams, mentors junior process engineers, and ensures safe, reliable, efficient and cost-effective production of hydrogen, syngas, CO and CO₂.<br><br>Nature & Scope<br><br>Reporting to the BHIG Engineering Manager, the Senior Process Engineer – HYCO provides day-to-day operational and technical support to Regional Sites through systematic monitoring of plant performance to ensure that production, energy efficiency, and reliability targets are consistently achieved in a safe manner. As a senior technical authority, the incumbent acts as a subject-matter expert (SME) on HYCO process technology and mentors site-based process engineers.<br><br>The role identifies productivity opportunities, develops engineering solutions, and supports the project execution teams across multiple technologies: Air Separation Units (ASU), Hydrogen / Syngas (HYCO – SMR based), and CO₂ production. The incumbent may also support Air Products plant support teams in providing similar services to JV partners, equipment sales customers and new prospects.<br><br>This position interfaces with Air Products global, regional and local process / production engineers, Regional Operations team members, project and design engineering teams, process safety specialists, and other technical support personnel. The role helps implement the systems and measures required to meet BHIG's Middle East operational requirements, technical standards, quality processes and plant & equipment integrity programs.<br><br>The incumbent will coordinate and effectively utilize global operating and technical resources to support existing operations, new installations and modifications led by BHIG Project Engineering or by the Air Products Global Engineering & Manufacturing Organization. The position will help drive consistency in operations across the Middle East Region and contribute to the continuous improvement of productivity, reliability, quality, process safety, and cost-effectiveness of the plants—using BHIG and Air Products systems, tools, statistical techniques and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Apply process statistics and data analytics (control charts, regression, capability analysis, multivariate analysis) to detect performance drift, quantify variability, prioritize improvement opportunities and validate the impact of implemented changes. Develop, maintain and validate steady-state and dynamic process simulation models in Aspen Plus (and associated Aspen suite tools) to support troubleshooting, performance benchmarking, debottlenecking, what-if studies, energy optimization, and revamp / new project evaluations. Provide expert technical support on heterogeneous catalyst systems used in HYCO / Hydrogen plants—including Hydrodesulfurization (HDS), ZnO sulfur absorbers, Pre-Reforming, Steam Methane Reforming (SMR), High-Temperature Shift (HTS), Low-Temperature Shift (LTS) and Methanation—covering activity / deactivation assessment, kinetic and equilibrium evaluation, poison management, life-cycle prediction, change-out strategy, vendor selection and performance auditing. Facilitate operational excellence through continuous improvement in plant productivity, reliability, quality and cost; lead improvements and ensure that best practices are deployed. Provide technical leadership in investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCA) in order to identify and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions. Provide technical support for Advanced Process Control (APC) and real-time optimization (RTO) initiatives. Monitor plant production daily, driving asset performance and ensuring daily targets are met to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.<br><br>Operations<br><br>Provide process engineering support to operations in order to safely and reliably operate, SMR-based HYCO and CO₂ facilities in the Region, meeting customer expectations on safety, reliability, product quality and supply flexibility while remaining compliant with contractual requirements. Ensure that BHIG standards and Air Products global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality and customer service are met. Provide technical guidance to commissioning teams, supporting commissioning, start-up and troubleshooting activities. Participate in the training of the Operations team up to plant commissioning, including catalyst loading, reduction / activation and start-up of SMR, Shift and Methanation reactors. Participate in developing the month-end close model and ensure alignment with commercial obligations for the BHIG Middle East Commercial Area. Maintain close working relationships with engineering and maintenance personnel to continuously monitor and evaluate plant systems and equipment through a Plant Process Advisory model. Support Process Intelligence Center (PIC) initiatives such as plant monitoring, troubleshooting, plant simulation training sessions, plant modelling and plant efficiency monitoring. Minimum 12+ years of experience in Engineering and/or Operations in a senior technical role within the industrial gases, refining, petrochemical (Methanol and ammonia) or hydrogen production industry. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the technology, design and operation of Steam Methane Reformers (HYCO) and CO₂ production systems is preferred. Single-technology expertise will be considered; multi-technology background is strongly preferred at this senior level. Proven track record of start-up, commissioning and plant operating experience.
