Concourse of Civilizations (COC) is seeking an experienced Technical Office Engineer specializing in joinery, woodworks, custom furniture, and interior fit-out works. The selected candidate will be responsible for converting architectural and interior design concepts into accurate technical drawings, quantity take-offs, material schedules, production information, and cost estimates, while coordinating closely with the factory, procurement team, project management, and site teams. Key Responsibilities• Review architectural drawings, interior design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.• Prepare detailed Shop Drawings, Sections, Details, and installation drawings for joinery and woodwork items.• Prepare accurate Quantity Take-offs, BOQs, BOMs, Cut Lists, and material schedules.• Analyze material, labour, machine, finishing, transportation, and installation costs.• Prepare quotations and detailed cost breakdowns for doors, wall cladding, wardrobes, kitchens, fixed furniture, decorative panels, and custom joinery.• Select appropriate materials, including MDF, plywood, solid wood, veneer, laminates, hardware, and finishing systems.• Coordinate technical requirements with production, CNC, procurement, finishing, and installation teams.• Issue RFIs and identify discrepancies between drawings, dimensions, specifications, and site conditions.• Review site measurements and update drawings before production.• Monitor material waste, production requirements, and project costs.• Prepare material submittals, technical proposals, samples, and project documentation.• Support production planning and ensure that approved drawings are correctly implemented in the factory and on site. Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related technical field.• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in joinery, wood manufacturing, custom furniture, or interior fit-out works.• Strong practical knowledge of wood materials, veneers, boards, hardware, CNC works, joinery construction, and finishing systems.• Advanced proficiency in Auto CAD and Microsoft Excel.• Strong ability to read architectural plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.• Proven experience in quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, BOM, Cut Lists, cost estimation, and price analysis.• Good understanding of factory production processes and site installation requirements.• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and coordination skills.• Good command of Arabic and English. Preferred Skills• Experience with Sketch Up, 3ds Max, Revit, or similar design software.• Previous experience in luxury residential, hospitality, or high-end joinery projects.• Knowledge of ERP, production planning, or CNC preparation systems.• Valid Saudi driving licence.
