Regional Commercial Leader – AI & Edge Computing

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Scope: Saudi Arabia & Wider Middle East

Sector: AI Infrastructure | Edge Computing | Cloud | Data

Level: Senior Commercial Leadership

Help shape the next phase of a high-growth AI technology business across the region.

A rapidly growing technology business operating at the forefront of AI infrastructure, edge computing and next-generation cloud technologies is looking to appoint a senior commercial leader to help drive its next phase of regional growth.

The business has already secured significant investment, major enterprise customers and strategic technology partnerships, and has established operations across four countries in the region, with further expansion planned.

This is therefore much more than a Saudi sales leadership position.

The initial focus will be on Saudi Arabia, where the successful individual will play a central role in driving revenue and developing strategic relationships. As the business continues to expand, there is the opportunity for this individual to take broader regional commercial responsibility across the company's markets.

Why This Opportunity?

The foundations are already in place.

The business has:

Secured significant investment to accelerate its growth.

Won major enterprise expansion already planned.

The next stage is about scaling the commercial opportunity.

You'll be joining at a point where there is already genuine market traction, rather than being asked to build a business from scratch.

The Opportunity

You will initially take a leading role in the company's Saudi commercial strategy, with the potential to develop into a regional commercial leadership position as the organisation continues to scale.

Your responsibilities will include:

Taking ownership of revenue growth across Saudi Arabia.

Developing and executing the KSA go-to-market strategy.

Building relationships with senior decision-makers across major enterprises, government organisations and strategic accounts.

Identifying and converting significant new business opportunities.

Developing strategic relationships across the Saudi and wider regional technology ecosystem.

Leading complex, high-value enterprise and government sales cycles.

Building and developing the commercial organisation as the business scales.

Working directly with the CEO and senior leadership team on commercial strategy.

Supporting expansion into new markets across the region.

Developing strategic partnerships with global technology vendors and ecosystem partners.

Your Background

You'll ideally bring:

10+ years' experience within enterprise technology sales or business development.

A proven track record of revenue generation in Saudi Arabia.

An established network across Saudi enterprise, government and strategic accounts.

The ability to build relationships at CEO, CIO, CTO and CDO level.

Strong new-business and hunting capability.

Experience leading sales teams and developing high-performing commercial organisations.

Experience within a start-up, scale-up or entrepreneurial technology environment.

Regional exposure across the GCC or wider Middle East would be highly advantageous.

The commercial maturity to operate strategically while remaining close to customers and deals.

Excellent Arabic and English communication skills.

Technology Experience

The technology proposition makes this a particularly exciting opportunity.

Experience across:

AI | Edge Computing | AI Infrastructure | Cloud | Data | HPC | GPU Infrastructure | Data Centres | MLOps | Cybersecurity | Digital Transformation

would all be relevant.

Experience specifically within AI infrastructure, edge computing, GPU/HPC environments or sovereign AI would be particularly attractive.

However, we are more interested in your commercial capability, Saudi network and track record of winning business than simply matching a particular technology keyword.

A career background with a major technology organisation such as Cisco, HPE, Dell, Microsoft, AWS, Oracle, IBM, Google Cloud, NVIDIA or similar, followed by experience within a smaller, high-growth technology business, would be particularly relevant.

The Career Opportunity

This could suit someone who has spent the early part of their career learning how leading global technology companies operate, developed a strong reputation selling into the Saudi market, and subsequently moved into a more entrepreneurial environment.

You may now be ready for the next step.

Rather than moving from Senior Sales Manager to Sales Director, this opportunity provides the potential to move directly into a position with much broader commercial ownership and regional exposure.

You'll have the backing of an already funded and established technology business, an exciting proposition, significant market momentum, an existing customer base and operations across multiple markets, while still having the opportunity to make a highly visible impact.

For the right individual, the longer-term opportunity is to become a key commercial leader for the wider region.

If you're a Saudi technology sales leader with a strong network, a proven track record of winning business and the ambition to step into a broader regional commercial leadership role, we'd be very interested in speaking with you.
