Job Summary:A Cardiac Sonographer/ ECHO Technician must be able to do a full 2D Echo study views and measurements in adult patients. Primary Responsibilities:2.1. A Cardiac Sonographer must be able to do a full 2D Echo study views and measurements in Adult patients.2.2. The cardiac sonographer must be able to recognize abnormalities, form a preliminary set of differential diagnoses, and extend the scope of the examination to explore these possible pathologic conditions.2.3. Maintain competence and excellence in echocardiography based on the evidence based practice guided by American Society of Echocardiography and the My Clinic policies & procedures.2.4. The cardiac sonographer should be able to obtain pertinent clinical information from the patient, refer ring physician, and patient’s record, including cardiac related physical findings and pertinent laboratory data, and to apply the necessary sonographic techniques to obtain comprehensive and diagnostic echocardiographic information.2.5. The cardiac sonographer is required to have a detailed understanding of cardiac and thoracic anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics, embryology, tomographic anatomy, and pathophysiology. This knowledge base is a prerequisite to the understanding of echocardiographic data and quantitation of derived parameters.2.6. Participate in task forces as assigned and complete work-related assignments on time regarding Cardiology department like census, typing and scanning of reports.2.7. Flexibility to work different shifts in different areas according to the work needs within the scope of Cardiology department in My Clinic.2.8. Maintain all time maximum safe environment for patient, family and staff by ensuring safe equipment’s, instruments and implement the infection control procedures & guidelines.2.9.
