<p >As a Drilling & Workover Safety Engineer (HSE) at Saudi Aramco, the successful candidate will function as a frontline safety officer. The role encompasses upstream oil and gas operations, including petroleum engineering, exploration, drilling and workover activities, unconventional resources, and seismic operations. This covers both onshore and offshore facilities located in various cities across the Kingdom, such as Buqayq, Riyadh, Ras Tannurah, Dhahran, Jeddah, Yanbu, and Jazan.</p> <h3 >Core Responsibilities</h3>
<ul >
<li >Implement and manage the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System (SMS) across drilling and workover operations.</li>
<li >Inspect onshore and offshore drilling rigs, workover equipment, and support facilities.</li>
<li >Apply in-depth knowledge of well control equipment and procedures.</li>
<li >Identify, evaluate, and mitigate critical safety risks, including work at height, LOTO/isolation, permit-to-work, H2S, confined space entry, and excavations.</li>
<li >Conduct PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, compliance reviews, incident investigations, and insurance surveys.</li>
<li >Develop and review corporate safety standards and procedures for upstream operations.</li>
<li >Review oil and gas field facility designs for compliance with company and industry HSE standards.</li>
<li >Develop and support Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and attend emergency drills as an observer.</li>

<li ><strong >Experience:</strong> A minimum of 7 years of experience in upstream oil and gas, specifically in HSE officer, drilling safety, loss prevention, or an equivalent role. This experience must cover drilling & workover operations, well planning, reservoir management, geology and geophysics, upstream facility project management, oil and gas field development, SIMOPS, and offshore/onshore rig safety inspections.</li>
<li ><strong >Technical Knowledge:</strong> Demonstrated proficiency in well control procedures, rig safety inspections, managerial audits, safety programme development, and emergency response planning. Attendance at a Basic Well Control School is required.</li>
