The post-holder produces the analysis and documentation; overall strategy, stakeholder management and final sign-off sit with the Implementation Manager.<br><br>Key responsibilities<br><br>Constructability & construction methodology<br><br>Review master-plan and design information for buildability, flagging conflicts, clashes and construction risks early. Develop and compare construction methodologies — e.g. top-down vs bottom-up, cut-and-cover, deep excavation with shoring/retaining systems, slipform/climbing formwork, precast/modular and off-site approaches, and heavy-lifting / SPMT operations. Provide constructability input to designers and support value engineering and simplification of construction methods. <br>Construction phasing & sequencing<br><br>Prepare 2D (and, where required, 4D) phasing plans showing the sequence of assets, roads, utilities and temporary works across the programme. Develop sequencing and line-of-balance logic to enable efficient progress and timely asset opening. Keep phasing aligned to the latest project programme (IDS / master schedule) and design revisions. <br>Site logistics & land take<br><br>Plan construction logistics: laydown/land-take zones, haul and temporary construction roads, access and offloading areas, batching-plant locations, and crane/lifting zones. Develop traffic-management and delivery strategies (HGV movements, worker transport and accommodation needs) for congested, multi-contractor sites. <br>Implementation / production metrics<br><br>Develop implementation metrics over time using GFA, programme data and regional benchmarks — e.g. GFA under construction, workforce, concrete volumes, heavy-vehicle movements, tower-crane and plant demand, and asset/key delivery curves. Use these metrics to support decisions on facilities, resourcing and contractor demand. <br>Packaging & procurement support<br><br>Support development of contract/work-packaging strategies, including allocation of assets across contractor tiers and input on procurement routes (e.g. Design & Build vs traditional). Identify opportunities to combine or split packages for efficiency. <br>Interface & coordination<br><br>Coordinate across master-planning, infrastructure, utilities, roads and mobility/rail teams, and between multiple contractors, to manage interfaces and dependencies. <br>Risk<br><br>Identify implementation risks, carry out qualitative assessment (probability/impact, pre- and post-mitigation), and propose practical mitigations and next steps. <br>Reporting & document production<br><br>Produce clear, well-structured technical reports, drawings, diagrams, dashboards and presentations to a professional standard, consolidating the above into deliverables such as implementation/constructability reports. <br><br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Essential<br><br>Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering (or a related discipline). Approximately 5–8 years of relevant experience on large building and/or infrastructure projects, with a contractor, consultant/PMC or developer. Hands-on exposure to at least two of: construction planning/phasing, constructability/methodology, site logistics, or contract packaging. Sound working knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site logistics on large, complex projects. <br>Desirable / advantageous<br><br>Experience on giga-/mega-projects or large mixed-use developments, ideally in the Gulf region. Exposure to deep basements, tunnelling/metro, bridges or heavy civil works. Working towards professional registration/chartership (e.g. CEng / PE).
